Part of me wishes we got to find the origins of the Great Old ones, since we only knew of half of them in Soul Eater, and even then only Asura and Eibon had any information about them.

I hope studio David doesn’t redo what bones did. Bones is, imo, the superior studio anyways and what bones did with soul eater was so great. If for whatever reason it does get remade, I hope it’s bones who does it again, not studio David.

So Excalibur is the First Weapon, and is also the only Weapon not created via the experiments made by Eibon and Arachne. He also surpasses Death Scythes even though he never consumed a Witch's Soul.
When i first picked up fire force like 1-2 years ago, i'd have never expected that a connection with Soul Eater would even be possible. Like most Soul Eater fans from back in the day I also hoped that it would be confirmed that they are in the same universe. So yeah this ending is just insane, i loved it!

Lastly the Star family are actually a branch family of the Hoshi, Rekka's last name is Hoshimiya. Given his personality, eyes, and name we can surmise that the genetic trait star eyes, and having the word star in their names came from Rekka
I really wish they did one. The original anime finale was cool but I'ld like to see an anime which modern animation, which follows the story of the manga and maybe even "corrects" some of the rushing of the end

At the end of fire force season 2 when they showed the moon from soul eater I immediately took it as a reveal that soul eater and fire force was in the same universe. But people immediately said it's not true and said the moon reveal was just a way to show the author's trademark. Glad I was right the whole time.

Yeah I'm really puzzled about that, it's been made pretty clear for a while that after fire force he was going to be done with manga but now the last chapter conflicts with that.
Fire force is successful sometimes they make those announcements before the anime kick off and end gaining that they change their mind. Notice how kishimoto was done with naruto but he’s back in boruto now writing and changing things . Pretty sure this guy got more in store for us . I’m puzzled as well and currently waiting on that announcement which I hope is another series .

My headcanon is B.Ichi takes place in between Fire Force and Soul Eater. The same moon and to that extent the same sun exists and a certain location at the end of B.Ichi reappears in Soul Eater too. Emine also has the same concept of black blood with his own ability and it doesn't help his outfit at the end is like the Kishin eggs.
The Shinigami in Fire Force is Lord Death in Soul Eater. He’s stated to be one of the 8 warlords which were present at the dawn of the Soul Eater universe. He only looks different bc he swapped the masks when he established the DWMA. Plus, Shinigami aren’t typically born, it’s not really a race per se. Kid was specifically created because Death himself broke off a fragment of himself. This is all explained in the manga.
Scythe (makas dad) is literally in the anime talking about maka in season 2 episode 18 at about 19 mins 25 seconds in. So soul eater can't be to terribly far in the future

That is the same death just in his original form or birth form.. He changed his form twice.. The 2nd time he changed his form was because the kids were scared.. Also he formed kid death and made his image after shinra
Idk if u still need an answer but, in fire force, life has value, meaning as long as life is valued, death is feared, therefore despair is created. If Shinra made death itself less intimate, it would have no impact if they died, meaning there is no despair out of a death of a person. This is what Shinra did to defeat the Evangelist (God) so the pillars dont come back

Even with death fading away after a new shinigami manifests, isn't it possible that it's only happened once? I remember there was a point in the SE anime where death mentioned that he used to look a lot scarier (I think the mask was similar in the flashback too, but I cant find a video of the scene). Maybe it was a reference setting up this reveal? Maybe im missing something I never read the soul eater Manga and don't know much about fire force, but "we see the design from soul eater later in fire force" doesn't prove anything. If it is the same death, he would HAVE to transition into that design at some point ykwim?
So I was surprised at the end of fire force? In soul eater, death gave its power to the Kid, because he was more human. Death didn't control humans either, because he wanted to leave a free arbiter. Then he saw that the power must be closer to the humans. But in fire force, Shinra ends up taking that power away from humans and giving it to a separate entity, which is death. So wouldn't turning power back to humans, even if just a little, would not result in a new cataclysm?
I think Soul Eater was my second anime I ever watched and finished, my first was Bleach and I'm sure you can figure out why I ended up watching Soul Eater next. When I was watching Fire Force I thought Tamaki looked a lot like Maki till I learned it was made by the same author as Soul Eater lol then I figure out why

Honestly, this is kind of cool. A lot of the fire force abilities are just like the original moves before they got upgraded into the stuff the soul leaders use. Also, I feel like the MC from fire forces probably still alive in another dimension, given his b******* power up where he can just create an entire world. Any basically created all of the basis for the new soul eater world makes sense because he recreated the world. That's why it doesn't even partially resemble earth anymore because the fireforce world is after the first great cataclysm where it's still resembles Earth, even if most of its completely unhabitable wasteland. There's still some traces left, but after this he got rid of the final traces and basically set up all of the power systems within the soul leader world
I like everything you said the only misnomer is, in the anime when Assault is trying to train to fight Tamaki, assault is seen at a brothel. At the table behind him Makas father scythe is shown complaining about his relationship with Maka as he does frequently in soul eater. Time travel? Or a slip in the prequel theory ?

Yeah I'm really puzzled about that, it's been made pretty clear for a while that after fire force he was going to be done with manga but now the last chapter conflicts with that.
Fire force is successful sometimes they make those announcements before the anime kick off and end gaining that they change their mind. Notice how kishimoto was done with naruto but he’s back in boruto now writing and changing things . Pretty sure this guy got more in store for us . I’m puzzled as well and currently waiting on that announcement which I hope is another series .
It's gonna be continued in his assistant's new work that just released that will expand on the universe soul eater and fire force are in. Ohkubo claims that it will be his spiritual successor

Soul Eater will forver be my most Favourite Anime (Currently reading the Manga even tho I never wanted to start a Manga Series but damn I am glad I started it). Really happy that Fire Force is connected to Soul Eater bcs I liked the Anime nearly as much as Soul Eater and that is probably a Reason to maybe get the Manga into my Hands now too. My headcanon is B.Ichi takes place in between Fire Force and Soul Eater. The same moon and to that extent the same sun exists and a certain location at the end of B.Ichi reappears in Soul Eater too. Emine also has the same concept of black blood with his own ability and it doesn't help his outfit at the end is like the Kishin eggs.

The Shinigami in Fire Force is Lord Death in Soul Eater. He’s stated to be one of the 8 warlords which were present at the dawn of the Soul Eater universe. He only looks different bc he swapped the masks when he established the DWMA. Plus, Shinigami aren’t typically born, it’s not really a race per se. Kid was specifically created because Death himself broke off a fragment of himself. This is all explained in the manga.
Scythe (makas dad) is literally in the anime talking about maka in season 2 episode 18 at about 19 mins 25 seconds in. So soul eater can't be to terribly far in the future

I watched the fire force anime because I was bored and it looked cool I had no idea it would be connected to an early 2000's universe like soul eater
My husband was watching fire force and i said that it looked like the same art style as soul eater. Then he told me that it was the same creator and a predecessor to soul eater. Kinda wild since i havent watched soul eater in years but i was a big enough fan to recognized the art style so quickly.

Idk if u still need an answer but, in fire force, life has value, meaning as long as life is valued, death is feared, therefore despair is created.
If Shinra made death itself less intimate, it would have no impact if they died, meaning there is no despair out of a death of a person.
This is what Shinra did to defeat the Evangelist (God) so the pillars dont come back

this is awesome. too damn awesome. i frikin love the connection. but wasnt there like a cameo of maka's dad at the bar. something hinting his red hair and him sobbing about his daughter (maka) to the ladies, happened when assault was there. there's a short youtube video of it somewhere. but my question is, if fire force happened 800 years ago, how come maka's dad was there? not against anything though, i understand if they forgot about that part or if it wasnt even maka's dad to begin with. but overall, everything is just amazing!

Even with death fading away after a new shinigami manifests, isn't it possible that it's only happened once? I remember there was a point in the SE anime where death mentioned that he used to look a lot scarier (I think the mask was similar in the flashback too, but I cant find a video of the scene). Maybe it was a reference setting up this reveal? Maybe im missing something I never read the soul eater Manga and don't know much about fire force, but "we see the design from soul eater later in fire force" doesn't prove anything. If it is the same death, he would HAVE to transition into that design at some point ykwim?
So I was surprised at the end of fire force? In soul eater, death gave its power to the Kid, because he was more human. Death didn't control humans either, because he wanted to leave a free arbiter.
Then he saw that the power must be closer to the humans. But in fire force, Shinra ends up taking that power away from humans and giving it to a separate entity, which is death.
So wouldn't turning power back to humans, even if just a little, would not result in a new cataclysm?

I think Soul Eater was my second anime I ever watched and finished, my first was Bleach and I'm sure you can figure out why I ended up watching Soul Eater next. When I was watching Fire Force I thought Tamaki looked a lot like Maki till I learned it was made by the same author as Soul Eater lol then I figure out why

as someone who didnt jump on the fire force bandwagon, its wild to me that the first anime i ever watched is getting some mainstream anime attention.
Anime did dirty on SOUL EATER. They need to remake and follow the actual MANGA STORYLINE.

Honestly, this is kind of cool. A lot of the fire force abilities are just like the original moves before they got upgraded into the stuff the soul leaders use. Also, I feel like the MC from fire forces probably still alive in another dimension, given his b******* power up where he can just create an entire world. Any basically created all of the basis for the new soul eater world makes sense because he recreated the world. That's why it doesn't even partially resemble earth anymore because the fireforce world is after the first great cataclysm where it's still resembles Earth, even if most of its completely unhabitable wasteland. There's still some traces left, but after this he got rid of the final traces and basically set up all of the power systems within the soul leader world

I like everything you said the only misnomer is, in the anime when Assault is trying to train to fight Tamaki, assault is seen at a brothel. At the table behind him Makas father scythe is shown complaining about his relationship with Maka as he does frequently in soul eater. Time travel? Or a slip in the prequel theory ?
