I was raised Catholic in and Italian family too. God led me to Orthodoxy after years of prayer and learning about the truth.

I am not sure what the specific hymn is called but it’s “Byzantine” music and has to do with the transfiguration.
Its the human nature added to his divine nature at one point of time and space and forever more not vice versa
