I was raised in a protestant baptist church. Our pastor always read the words of the Lord instituting the last supper “this is my blood/body, take and eat…” and then followed it up by “this is only a symbol of our faith and not actually his blood and body” which always bothered me even as a child and teenager. The notion they had just read Scripture verbatim and it followed up by a negation of the Lord’s very words never sat well with me. After 2 decades of atheism, I have learned of how St. Ignatius combated this very heresy so early on in the Church’s history. This is one of the many reasons that I have found the Orthodox Church as the only One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church and become a catechumen. Lord have mercy on us and save us, Amen!
Early Reformed Baptists believed in real presence. The reformers believed in real presence, besides Zwingli. 1689 London Baptist confession has real presence. Most reformed Baptist churches say there’s real presence and some do take of it weekly
I’m an ex catholic and I understand how attractive romanism is. But unfortunately it is not biblical. I do not have a great way of explaining it but if you are in any way in doubt or would like to explore further I would listen to John MacArthurs lectures about romanism. It’s not actually Christianity when you look into it properly. It’s a sort of quasi Christian religion but doesn’t consider Christ enough for salvation. The books which are part of the canon were never considered inspired - you need to look into this properly. I’ve been around catholic culture my whole life and I can tell you Holiness is not a thing. It’s more of a culture than anything. It has no real basis in scripture rather church traditions. It’s really dangerous because it comes close to the truth but it’s fundamentally flawed. It opens the door to so much demonic influence. Be careful with it. Don’t stop seeking Christ and He will lead you to the Father. Christ is the ONLY way to the Father by grace through faith using His Word as a lamp to your feet! God bless friend.
@@agape777 roman catholicism and eastern orthodoxy are not the same, we would agree that the latin church is in deep error and schism. As for John Macarthur, he is nestorian because he denies Mary is the mother of God, Christ was both fully man and fully God, denying Mary as the mother of God is the same as calling Jesus only a human I will also say that the protestant canon of scripture was made by martin luther in the 16th century, and that the authentic canon is one provided by the orthodox church, and if you call the church heretical, the list of books in the bible comes from those heretics
@@SILLY_BILLY_777how come the Orthodox Church is the correct and original church and not the Catholic Church, if the Catholic Church is the one from which they all split from? I am here to learn

We need Christ in us to be strong, to start to live a Christian Life as Christ commands in the Gospel, the Start is baptism in the Orthodox Church, this I can tell you by experience, the mystery of confession, baptism, anointment, and Holy Communion, in those mysteries (and in all other mysteries) in the Church, Christ works in us, things we can not describe with words, but something happens, you will know, if you walk in faith - all Saints are Saints cause Christ lived in them and they lived for Christ
St. Ignatius my most beloved saint. The one who led me back to the Holy Church. A bright star in hard times, a true supporter for my soul and body. Thank you for everything.
Absolutely edifying, electrifying, real. Christianity stripped down to its purity, loyalty to our very real and mystical Triune God who came to offer us His divine flesh to eat and divine blood to drink, that we be one in Him. Bless you for this much needed film.

With much gratitude, i sincerely thank you for this video, St Ignatius was the 2nd Patriarch, after St Peter, initially for the Jewish converts to Christianity of the Syriac Orthodox church of Antioch, successor from St Peter...Patriarch Ivodosios was the 2nd successor, after St. Peter, as Patriarch for the Gentiles, however he passed away in AD 57 so St. Ignatius of Antioch fulfilled both roles as Patriarch of Jewish converts and Gentiles...faithful followers of Christ picked up His mortal remains from the Colosseum in Rome, which was what the lion's left behind and all our Patriarchs to this day bear St Ignatius as their first name and wear upon their necks a locket with His mortal remains....In India we have churches in His name...May He always be a Light of God seeking God's mercy for God's flock and all people everywhere...... sending love and prayers from India
We can learn from the True to life stories of the Saint ,as example to follow on how to worship God the Father in heaven and our Lord and Saviour Lord God Jesus Christ
Very well done video. The way, the truth, and the life…..our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ. Forgive our lack of love for our fellow man. empower us by your Holy Spirit to worship the Lord our God with all our heart and love our neighbor as we love ourselves. The world hates that part especially…..to love our neighbors as we love our own self.
I love to hear stories about saints from the ages of the past. Their stories inspire...to think they didn't have the Holy Scriptures, and how they were taught by the Spirit of God..l believe that God gave those people special graces with discerning spirit. Now we have the inspired Word of God and have the Spirit of God as interpreter of it. There is only ONE Church, ONE body of Christ on Earth, the body of believers in the Son of God, washed by the blood of the LAMB, born of His Spirit, lead by His Spirit, kept by His power. There is only ONE Mediator between God and man, Yeshua, the Son of the living God, our Lord Jesus Christ. AMEN! The Church of Lord Jesus Christ is not a building, isn't an organization, is not one particular fraction of it which holds Supreme power or authority...it is SPIRITUAL body of Christ, with Christ being The Head. And that, dear Christian friends, is according to the Word of God, of which the Spirit of God bears witness. . I am sure all those who love our Lord will say to this a heartfelt AMEN.
Yes, my dear. The Church is not a human institution. It is a living, God-human organism. But Christ, through His disciples, did establish an historical Church at Pentecost in the year 33 a.d., which through the holy Spirit, was kept free from error in its dogmas and practices. And that Church is the Holy Orthodox Church. The Roman Catholic Church, and consequently the other 40,000 different sects of Christianity broke away from it.
I was raised in a protestant baptist church. Our pastor always read the words of the Lord instituting the last supper “this is my blood/body, take and eat…” and then followed it up by “this is only a symbol of our faith and not actually his blood and body” which always bothered me even as a child and teenager.
Thank you for the historical information! Wonderful
Pray that Antioch will be great and Christian again.
I love this so much

Thank you guys this is great!
Thank you for this wonderful channel !🙏
I love to hear stories about saints from the ages of the past. Their stories inspire...to think they didn't have the Holy Scriptures, and how they were taught by the Spirit of God..l believe that God gave those people special graces with discerning spirit. Now we have the
inspired Word of God and have the Spirit of God as interpreter of it.
Go and PREACH, Jesus did not say Go and write .
Hence, the Holy Bible came later. So Protestant are in error.
