    Awesome vid. Short to the point, concise description of the tool and specs, and then real life/time use of the tool in a bunch of different applications. Perfect! Heading out to pick one up now.

    I've finally learned what the usage of this tool is after being upset it doesnt work like an impact lol. Saves all the damn time ratcheting a bolt on and off.

      LOL same bro. I thought it would break them off but it’s just to save time. Makes it easier nonetheless

    I gotta get me one because I bought the 3/8 version and it’s in my opinion a beast. had a 350 small block ready to pull in just over a hr.

      The nice part about it is won’t over tighten nuts or bolts. It will actually stop after you tightening

    Is it recommend to break bolts manually first?

    • @barricadegarage5361
      @barricadegarage5361  5 лет назад +4

      wblake22 No. just like in the video I always see if I can trigger the bolt off before braking the bolt loose with the tool manually

  • @tuanngnt
    @tuanngnt 5 лет назад

    I have this M12 fuel 1/2 ratchet and I believe it is the best one for most of your work in the car. I verified that it was able to break the bolt loose manually for at least 60 ft-lbs or above and it was able to break the bolt loose automatically for up to 60 ft-lbs. In auto mode, it could lose the bolt up to 55 ft-lbs without any problem; but at 60 ft-lbs I had to try a few times in order to lose the bolt successfully. I also verified that it could tighten the bolt to about 41 ft-lbs max. From the spec, it can lose the bolt up to 60 ft-lbs; but the spec did not say about how much torque when it tights the bolt.

    At first I had trouble controlling it to not over tighten the bolts so they don’t brake or strip. But then I got used to it. I just press the trigger slowly to maintain control. But overall it’s a nice tool to have

    Great vid! Lookin to do some suspension work soon and was wondering how these bad boys hold up. Did break work not too long ago using basic tools and while it wasn’t too bad I was looking to make the job easier and needed something more efficient seeing that I’ll be tackling a bigger job. Nice work! 👌🏽💪🏽 #subbed

    Why would you not drain the oil before pulling the pan? WTF

    • @barricadegarage5361
      @barricadegarage5361  4 года назад +5

      You may be new to wrenching if you have to ask that kind of question but not all tranny pans have drain plugs. Heres the video of that Jeep Commander transmission fluid and filter change in question

    I just got this 1/2" M12 fuel version and I just tried out for the first time. I saw a lot of grease coming out from the head, is this normal?

    • @barricadegarage5361
      @barricadegarage5361  5 лет назад +1

      Yes thats normal

    • @tuanngnt
      @tuanngnt 5 лет назад

      @@barricadegarage5361 Thanks, I verified that it could uninstall the 55 ft. lbs wheel bolt with no problem; but for 60 ft. lbs only passed 1 out of 3 times with 1.5A battery with half capacity remaining and I think it may break that max 60 ft. lbs with full charge battery or extended battery like at least 4A. It is heavier than the old 3/8 ratchet version; but I feel comfortable to use this one on manual mode than the old version because it is bigger and stronger.

    • @barricadegarage5361
      @barricadegarage5361  5 лет назад +1

      @@tuanngnt yup. I hammer on mines and still going strong. I only use this one with a 6.0 batter and I use the 3/8 version with the 2.0 battery. If you havent seen my 3/8 review here it is...

    What’s more useful the ratchet or the stubby impact?

    • @barricadegarage5361
      @barricadegarage5361  5 лет назад +3

      +Unpopular Patriot The stubby impact wrench is by far more useful

    • @r.a.p.k.models4160
      @r.a.p.k.models4160 5 лет назад +4

      Use the 2 of them dinámic duo

    • @obliviondio
      @obliviondio 5 лет назад +1

      The stubby cant be used to manually tighten like a hand ratchet or electric ratchet. Therefore you'll be switching tools alot. At least with the electric ratchet, you can do everything with 1 tool.

    Only time I’ll break a nut off, with anything battery-powered, is on me! 🙌🏼 I’ll never use my power tools to break bolts unless it’s a dedicated impact.. 🤷🏼‍♀️✊🏼🤣😂
