  • We have wanted to publish these videoes for so long, and finally we are ready! For new subscribers let me give you a little update:
In 2022 we left Norway for an 8 month family adventure through Europe and Asia. We had no work, no school, no schedule and nowhere to be the whole time. That really changed us, and we are so happy to take you along with us as we experience this!
So far we have made videos from the first part of the journey. You can watch our videos from Berlin, Prague, Austria, a bunch of places in Italy and we have just spent 2 and a half week in Bosnia where we made viseos from Mostar, Tito's nuclear bunker, the pyramids in Visoko and the abandoned olympic bobsleigh track in Sarajevo, along with standing in the footprints of the murderer of Franz Ferdinan in 1914, that started the first world war.
As this video starts we are on the bus from Sarajevo towards Podgorica in Montenegro. Our trip to the former Yugoslavia has completely surprised us again and again, and as we drive across the mountains from Bosnia, we know absolutely nothing about Montenegro, wich is exactly why we wanted to visit the Balkans in the first place.
Information is not so easy to come by in this part of Europe, but we have heard a rumour about a train going from the capital to the coast, another one of Titos elaborate and not so logical projects. That is the same train that will take us to Belgrade in Serbia, once we are done with Montenegro.
We can definitely see a difference between the two countries. Bosnia has had a lot of war and unstability, while Montenegro became part of the EU in 2010. You can see it on the tarmac immediately after crossing the border. From bumpy gravel to flat asfalt.
At the border crossing we were stopped and asked some questions. The border officer thought it was strange that we were travelling with kids at this time of year. Were they not in school? Were we escaping the draft in Ukraine? We explained the whole thing and were sent off into Montenegro.
