Fully agree. I think the problem with the poor reception James Spader's Ultron has gotten might be that the epic, dark trailers for the film before it came out were very misleading on the subliminal level about what to expect from the film's main villain - they indicated something ominous, epic and dark rather than the dark, humorous, sociopathic, misanthropic villain we got. But he was still an excellently-portrayed villain either way. I think Ultron was a really great villain either way and I really loved the film and him in it.
It started with a big promise, actually. I thought that Ultron will make a valid point, will teach us (and fucking Tony Stark) a lesson to seek out the source of the problems inside ourselves for a change, but than it became obvious that he is just another baddie to toss aside because script says so.

Arguments arise over Hank and Starks knowlege who is smarter but it is decided Stark is more mechanical based while Henry is more Biology based. This is described as oedipus complex and is when a sibling gains a sexual love for the parent that raised him right and i major theme of the story. This back up the fact that Ultron is actually taking on traits more human them machine because he has emotions and emotional traits like us. Ive just read tons on wonder man, his brother, how iron man captured simons mind. ultron would have been the coolest bad guy ever if they had him antagonizing the avengers in just about every movie made about the avengers. I bet ultron could also kick the crap out of thanos and even darth Vader.
