Peugeot 208 hifi/monitor failure FIX

- There is a standard failure/bug on the hifi system on the old model of Peugeot 208 2012-2015. the hifi and monitor turns off, and can not start. the radio and monitor functions stop working.
here is the easy fix.

Life saver, bro!!! My head unit went out 4 weeks ago and I checked fuses etc but couldn’t find anything wrong. I was about to book it in to the dealership so thought I’d give RUclips a try and found this!!

OMG!🤯 You are a life saver. You just saved me over £200 as i was about to change the whole unit because driving became boring without my music or radio. I decided to give RUclips a chance before driving down to the garage, and this was the simplest option as the others kept talking about fuse. I became so confused. This was the easiest, and it worked straight away. Thank you so much. 😊 You have no idea how proud of myself i am for fixing this myself. I always end up spending unnecessarily on my car as a lady who knows nothing about cars other than to drive it 😂 so i end up paying unnecessary fees to get minimal things fixed. Thanks a lot.

Yes this the same issue
I know it sounds stupid. But it is a quick fix for the 208. It wont be the solution on every hifi/monitor error. But i know it helped a lot of people. I had 3 years without monitor and hifi. Almost payed 800 euro at a peugeot workshop to fix it. But a friend of mine showed me the trick and it worked since. Maybe 1 or 2 times it turned off, but then i reset the battery again and everything works fine again.
I did this procedure, it started, but after 2-3 starts it stops again, does anyone know what's wrong?
I think it is because the power usage of the car is exactly what the new battery output is. So when the car and battery is used for a while, the battery output lower a little bit. But enough, that the car have to compensate for power usage. And the hifi is the first part that shut down.
I noticed after my hifi didnt work for 2 years. I got new battery, and hifi worked fine for few months, and then it shut down again.
When i started doing this trick, i had to do it every day. Some days 2 or 3 times. But after a few weeks, time between hifi shutdown increased! Now i'm doing it maybe 2 times a year.

I am sry to hear. Then i cant help you. This is just a common error on the 208. But it can make many other errors.
