I started crying when she chanted. It was like her way of preserving a song and dance on top of asking the ancestors to give her sister a safe trip back to her home. We can not lose the ancestors of our lives. Keep their memories alive in your heart. These are people that know how to be patient and happy. Even if their lives can be harsh.
It shows us that even with all the amenities we have it doesn't guarantee happiness. if you pay attention you see the family unity and eternal gratitude they have for what nature provides for their family. We all could learn a valuable life lesson from this documentary. I was moved by this video it reminds me our ancestors roots and how survival was the name of the game, nowadays people lose they're minds if the RUclips stops working!
"Even the dead are from your family." Beautiful. Daria is a stunning human being. Earlier, in the cabin, when she began to sob after re-enacting a chant...well, it was profoundly moving. It was an honor to join this family, however briefly.
You take me there, the forest, and I may not want to come back to city life. You taught me something that I have been looking for all my life, now I am 72 and in good health, and I want to be like you...the happy nomad at last. Amen.
I find it amazing that humans could live in such a challenging climate. I dont think I would last more than a few years , still a beautiful place and beautiful people of Russia. I wish them long and happy lives . Much love ❤️ 🙏 from usa
True. Videos can't really show what it's like in winter when it's 20-23 hours of night for months. Limited or no electric, people having to entertain themselves in very tight quarters. The importance of other people is with you always.
@@MrWaterbugdesign Actually, Kamchatka is not that far North. The Northern (almost uninhabited) edge is at about Finnish Oulu latitude, the capital, Petrpovalovsk is the same latitude as Hamburg; so not that much of 20-23 hours of night for months :)
I just intended to check out the video for a moment, the next thi ng I know its almost the end of it. These marvelous people. I know I could never live like this but these people can not lose this culture. What a way of life. Beautiful scenery, beautiful peolpe and I pray they are given and find everything that they need. Beautiful. Thank you so much!!!
These are great films of this family, i cant get enough. I myself migrated to the jungles of central America and live off the land as much as possible. I dont think i could do it in these cold snowy winters tho, i understand the quiet man of the family that used to live in society with abunch of lost people fending for nothing but money to eat, sleep and survive in a concrete souless world. Blessings to all our ancestors that lived like this since the beginning of time up until a 100 years ago. ✌🏾🙏🏾❤️
I was there in the september 2019. Kamchatka is a jewel. Nice memories for ever. Thank you wery much Russia. Kindly, friendly people. Best regards from Slovakia. I will return.
These people live such a peaceful life, they are so PURE, work so hard for there heat and their next meal, but at the end of the day it makes you feel so good, so I see why they live this kind of life, no bills coming in the mail, no hustle and bustle of the everyday grind, no traffic ,it may be a hard life but they have each other to depend on, I applaud them.
Hey guys. it’s really funny video. I was born in Kamchatka. I visited a lot of country. Actually i can say that Kamcha one of the best place for traveling. Ocean, vulcano, beers, haha. We glad to see any people and tourists 🫡
Thank you. I didn’t intend to watch it all but was transfixed. Such a hard place to live but so beautiful. They are clearly drawn to that land and way of being. Very spiritual. We all share so much in common yet can be worlds apart. I hope they catch plenty of sable and fish and the reindeer herd grows larger and their snow mobiles go on forever 😀🙏🏻
These people are amazing. They live off the land and that is all they have and they are sooooo happy with their lot in life. Amazing scenery and people
Love this. Reminds me very much of my homeland in northern Canada. If you lived in the northlands, it has a way of calling you back home. Home where you belong and, it will haunt you until you return. It is very hard to explain.
Truely beautiful. . . The people, the forest, the skies, the music ... Thank you very much !!! This freedom these beings talk about resonates so deeply inside ...
This is an amazingly beautiful part of the world, almost like another planet with its towering mountain ranges, many active volcanoes, pinewood forests and great wildlife. Would very much like to visit some day in the future.
Wow, what a peaceful place to be, I think 🤔 I could get used to that way of life. Thank all of Daria’s & her family for letting us be a small part of her family. God bless you all & safe journeys. 😊
Thank you for making this video through which we might share in the lives of these nomadic people. We are all one, but we often forget the richness of that oneness. ❤
A hauntingly beautiful glimpse into a vastly simpler, more peaceful existence. One of being immersed in the coexistence of wonderful people within the grandeur of the environment in which they inhabit. So far away from the furtive restlessness of modern city life, I can only imagine how the rapid transition from civilization to the far away forest home of these people first challenges, and then changes the film crew who accompanied Nastassja on this epic journey of true discovery. What a special opportunity it is to be able to go along, albeit via video. Thanks for sharing this wonderful story.
Great documentary. This is an area similar to where I live in the Monashee Mountains of BC. Same trees, same fish, same reindeer (we call them caribou), same winter climate. The only differences are that I have electricity from the grid, and live only 20 kms from the nearest village and have internet. Last winter it was -32 Celsius at night at this time, and by February there was 108 cm of snow on the ground. This winter is so far been so warm and snowless, barely freezing at night. I sold my snow mobile and snow blower back in November (haha).
I Loved Daria's Spiritual song and dance of her Culture it was Beautiful, It reminded me of songs, and Powerful dances of Native American Dances, and Songs, during Pow Wow, through DNA, many Native American people trace their Ancestry back to the same areas in Russia, many customs are simular
Very wholesome, i love this. They have what i aspire. I reallt wish i had more experience in the wild but im also scared of being alone in a dark forest.
9:15 - The snowmobiles are overheating !? The Buran snowmobiles (twin-track) are about 40-50 years old. It is amazing that they still use these old Burans in such isolated places. Russian engineering is not about planned obsolescence !!!

The happiness and community I see within these people is amazing! They seems happy and know the duties to survive. It seems like a hard life, yet they are humble and happy. America has no idea of this concept, we continually fail our people with social stats and material items. This life seems way more fulfilling. ❤
You're right - I'm sorry that they are pretty much living off the land, but - I think there seems to be no excuse to keep the dogs in these very harsh conditions. In some states, it is illegal to keep a dog chained up in the cold, where it doesn't have a shelter. That is just pure ignorance, stupidity, or cruelty. Not watching this foolishness / and or cruelty... ( FYI - I went to the comments and saw your suggestion, then went directly to watch for the outdoor dogs - horrendous. Did not watch the rest.)

If you could make it a few years you’d be able to make it indefinitely your body would adjust after that amount of time to the cold 🥶 temperatures
Years? How about a few hours?

I have a question how do these people bathe? I mean when a woman gets her period she stinks if she’s not properly kept clean & so do men !
So great ,may God continue to give that family good health and strong life
