That green chutney with puran poli broke my heart😭😭being a Maharashtrian and belonging to a Marathi family where we make puran poli on daily bases it hurts, authentically with puran poli you get katta chi amti(कट्टा ची आमटी) which is a rassa type consistency and on a spicy side which goes well sweet puran poli🥰

Loved the way Satyam remember small details of Maharashtrian food...he recognised that groundnut powder is missing in sabudana khichadi..Also you won the hearts of most of Maharashtrians when you said Varan Bhat is the best dish ❤
And Akshay sung exact tune of Aarti🙂

Also the thickness... garma garam puran poli with generous amount of tuup (ghee) paired with homemade kanda bhajiya and maharashtrian kadhi (that is spicy and without pakoda as there's in punjabi kadhi) for that sweet n namkeen balance.... I'm Gujarati who lived my whole life in Mumbai and eats Marathi food almost 3-4 times in a week but feel sad that Delhi doesn't have any decent food joints who cook and serve authentic Marathi food. Please come to Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Amravati, Nagpur and Kolhapur for authentic Marathi food then you guys will agree what bad foods you try as a Marathi food.

    • @DannycageGhostrider
      @DannycageGhostrider Год назад +3

Delhi has the best Street food compared to any other state. Delhi has food joints run by Marathi people themselves. I am sure they make authentic foods. I never saw any person from Delhi saying any bad things about Marathi foods which are sold in Delhi. Mostly Delhi people criticize Mumbai street food after travelling to Mumbai, not any Marathi food sold in Delhi.
One more thing, is not the aamrasi Puri and Amrakhand actually authentic Gujarati food?

There are lots of dishes which are famous.. kothimbir vadi is one of my favorites. Aluvadi, tambda and pandhara rassa (red and white chicken gravy), malavani chicken (chicken made in kokan side), multiple fish dishes like fried Pomfret, fried surmai, prawns masala, bangda and bombil fry and many more. We make stuffed Pomfret as well. You will get multiple types of chutney.. like coconut chutney, mirchi thecha ( very spicy), many types of pickles and so on. Multiple drinks u can try like aam panha, solkadhi, taak (buttermilk), Martha, masala milk, kokam sharabat, banana shikaran etc. In sweets you can have sheera, modak, shrikhand, chirote, anarasa, amba vadi (mango burfi) and many more.. pohe, upma, chivada, misal, sabudana vada these are the sna KS that you guys should try.

1.Thalipeeth you should have garam garam, in winters
    2. Misal pav we don’t get it here outside usually I make it at home. Pav we get it from Gurgaon (Mumbaikar’s) they have close Maharashtrian products.
    3. Pav bhaji you can try from Lajpat Nagar , jhaakas pav bhaji.
    4. Vada pav, lot of places serves but with authentic pav you will get it in Mumbaikar’s or there is one cart in sector 30 Gurgaon. In Delhi jhakaas pav bhaji you will get vadapav as well
    5. Aamras should be made from hapus only otherwise it won’t taste authentic.
    6. Sabudana khichadi and all Maharashtrian breakfast you will get it good at Maharashtra Sadan in Delhi or Delhi hat they have canteen.
We have a lot of maharashtrian dishes which is not that popular in Delhi but it’s popular in Maharashtra.
You guys should cover Ganesh festival in Delhi, we celebrate here in Delhi it’s quite close to every Maharashtrian family.

So the best Maharashtrian Food in Delhi is at:
    1. Maharashtra Food Stall in Delhi Haat, INA. Try anything over there it is really good. Tad pricey but being a Maharashtrian in Delhi I enjoy it. Zhunka Bhakar is amazing over there.
    2. Maharashtra Sadan in Copernicus Marg. The service is bad but the food is somewhat okay.
Delhi doesn't serve authentic Marathi food and also the service in hotels of Delhi is pathetically slow. Mumbai is very very fast in serving food and quality too.
