Great explanation, once the idler and rollers are out, of replacing all the worn parts. Would be really helpful to see how they are taken out of the machine itself and then reinstalled.
Is it very common to need to replace the roller or idler itself? I've heard you mention chasing the bore out with a 1" drill when bore is constricted. How often is the bore has been worn bigger?
The drilling open the constricted bushing hole after installation with 1" reamer or drill is not that common anymore with my bushings as steps have been taken to prevent it. The roller itself wearing is a different situation and not related. But that happens more often it seems than it should. Folks just need to keep an eye on it, and replace the bushings when its time.
Thank you for posting this. A couple questions. 1)My small idlers are toast but the large ones are tight. Is there any point replacing bushings in the large ones? I plan on making the drivers for the press. Can you tell me what diameter is best and what lengths do I need?
If its not broken, Don't fix it. You can pick up any amount of the replacement parts, so just order enough to do the smaller idlers. The bushings are 1.250 diameter on the outside. I make my driver smaller at 1.240" to give a little clearance. you can make it shorter and then stack up like mine, or make one long enough to go through the width of the idlers.
Hello, they are aquired in bulk from the manufacturer. If your in need of some seals go to the links in the description of the video and look for the individual parts listing.

Thanks, Yes the removing and installing on the machine will have to be a separate video. I hope I can find time to make that soon.
