The helpless desperation and raw terror they capture with the ending is blood chilling. One of the most profound moments in the history of modern heavy music if you ask me
Dillinger Escape Plan goes for the throat and WON"T LET GO! Their music has become the soundtrack of my life simply because I can't get them out of my head.
For me it’s 2:15 to the end. The creepy soft rim clicking, distant echoing voices, Greg’s hypnotic deranged mantra, the moaning, hazy, shimmering guitar sounds. And then suddenly the petrified helpless screaming of a lunatic into a void of despair at the end. It sounds absolutely terrifying
personally, I recommend Sikth: Death of a Dead Day Protest the Hero: Kezia, Fortress Coverge: Jane Doe, Petitioning the Empty Sky and of course, listen to more Dillinger Don't know if they are mathcore, but these also got unique time signatures Meshuggah: Obzen Atheist: Unquestionable Presence Cynic: Traced in air, Focus
Glad you liked it. Progressive metal and Mathcore are arguably the best genres ever made. There's a lot of bands that do something new, takes notes from many other genres, and has some of the most talented musicians in the industry. I listen to everything, but no other genre really can compare to the feeling i get when listening to this type of music.
People disliked this because this doesn't have generic breakdowns like most of the Sumerian Records bands. Don't bash on this because there is still a shit load of amazing bands from this label.
this is probably my favourite off the new album. amazing song. although i thought the chorus went, "the wolf has chosen me." which i thought was positiviely badass. but the lyric is, "through you the host has chosen a name." :(
Does anyone notice the vague Farewell, Mona Lisa musical reference around the 2:15 mark of this song? I don't know if it was intentional or not...either way, it sounded similar to it in my opinion.
3:30 i had same kind of experience when i saw T-rex fart! first i was like WTF then i started laughing then i thought that was the most boner making thing i've ever heard
While I'm not sure that any DEP album will ever top Calculating Infinity in my mind, this one is pretty damn close, Considering I was rather disappointed with Ire Works, that comes as a pleasant surprise.
Is it just me or is the part starting at 1:01 one of the greatest things ever?
I live for riffs like 0:44
You're correct
Everyone here is correct
It is
Start at 0:00
Favorite DEP song. The ending is pure evil.

This song is Turing complete! It's just perfect. And you can't turn the volume high enough!
2;25 part sounds like Tomahawk. I love when puciato channels his Patton style croon.
This is easily one of the best albums I've heard in a long time.
1:00-2:15 one of the best parts of the whole album

This is so good it’s almost unbelievable
This quickly became another favorite on this album. I've been listening to this song like it's the last chance I'll get, haha!
personally, I recommend
Sikth: Death of a Dead Day
Protest the Hero: Kezia, Fortress
Coverge: Jane Doe, Petitioning the Empty Sky
and of course, listen to more Dillinger
Don't know if they are mathcore, but these also got
unique time signatures
Meshuggah: Obzen
Atheist: Unquestionable Presence
Cynic: Traced in air, Focus
dont forget the next dillinger: frontierer

One of the few bands left making exciting music.
The ending of this song is the killer.
Lukewarm take: this is a top 3 DEP track
THAT LAST PART! HOLY SHIT
People disliked this because this doesn't have generic breakdowns like most of the Sumerian Records bands. Don't bash on this because there is still a shit load of amazing bands from this label.
Absolutely lovely, such a filthy good track . Someone, please, pass the Palmolive!!
favorite on the album. reminds me alot of calculating
'cause is pure Mathcore.
Billy Rymer cannot be fucked with. I didn't know how he'd top his performance on Paralysis, but he did it fucking easily.
my personal favorite.
Good list. Obzen and Jane doe take the cake for me but...i enjoy almost everything else you posted
I was just thinking this the other night while I was listening to this song for like the 20th time!
DEP just keeps transcending itself with every release. Amazing \m/
Billy Rymer.
I'm here right now because I need a Christmas song cleanser
This album is so tits. Rymer is insane.
This album kicks ass
Perfect...... absolutely fuckin perfect
Nice amen breaks at the beginning
Yeah, I was. Some of their sampling reminds me quite a bit of Slipknot, which I love.
Holy crap this is pretty good
2:40 I fucking love
YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
this is probably my favourite off the new album. amazing song.
although i thought the chorus went, "the wolf has chosen me." which i thought was positiviely badass.

Does anyone notice the vague Farewell, Mona Lisa musical reference around the 2:15 mark of this song? I don't know if it was intentional or not...either way, it sounded similar to it in my opinion.

3:30 - 3:48
SUPER EARGASM
I'LL...NEVER BE.. LIKE YOU... LATE. TO. MY. OWN. FUN-ERAL!
What are the must-hear mathcore albums?
Jojo's the man!
Anyone reminded of Slipknot's Eyeless? Not saying Dillinger are copying as such, sounds more like a respectful nod.
0:00 - 0:18 jojo rymer
well that wass....interesting.
I hear echos of finch
3:30 i had same kind of experience when i saw T-rex fart! first i was like WTF then i started laughing then i thought that was the most boner making thing i've ever heard
Can anyone tell me where they birthed this style from?
You listen to Pierce The Veil
try also Jojo Mayer ;)
I hear an excess of time signatures
this ending is awesome.. but i think the ending to the song i attached by them is infinitely heavier....
watch?v=4DR7PEIGIyY
We Are the Romans by Botch
Yeah, that ending is probably the heaviest thing they have done!
While I'm not sure that any DEP album will ever top Calculating Infinity in my mind, this one is pretty damn close, Considering I was rather disappointed with Ire Works, that comes as a pleasant surprise.
What? But bro, "Ire Works" is imo better than all other albums, except "Option Paralysis".
The outro is the best part because the song is ending.
What a bitch ass comment
rediculous
Ok, bye
