We got this sister! I'm also on a cut currently. I spent the past 6 months recovering from high cortisol/stress induced hormal balances and other issues. I've put on quite a bit of muscle in the meantime so now I'm reading to see it. Like you, I love my body but I'm a bit more fluffy than I'd like to be personally. I'm 2 weeks in and 2lbs down! The goal is 5 at most, then I'll go back to maintenance for a while and do another short cut and just keep doing that until I'm pleased with how I look ❤. Good luck! I believe in you and thank you for sharing this. As ladies, so many of us struggle with this stuff!

12lbs that's INCREDIBLE!!! Great job beautiful!!! I'm so proud of you and I'm so glad my videos have been helpful!!! Thanks for being part of this beautiful community!!! 💕
I’m starting Monday, September 16th. I’m a little late to the game because of/ my knee. It’s been healing from a workout injury for the last 4 1/2 weeks. I can’t wait to get back into it! I have no clue what I weigh. I hate the scale, but I need to lose some fat and be able to see more muscle definition too. I also need to track my food, and calories so I know what they are. I haven’t tracked in 2 years or more! Let’s go!!!
Any day is a great day to start!! You're doing a great job! Check out Cronometer for tracking! It's been so easy and has so much info I've really been loving it! Cheering you on beautiful!!!
Count me in! I noticed a few pounds that crept up on me this summer. I also want to start to lift heavier weights to get more defined muscle tone on my arms. Thank you for taking us along on your journey! 😊
Thank you so much for being here and being part of this beautiful community!!! YES!!! Let's do it together!!! Have you worked out with Sydney Cummings? She's amazing!
On the chicken thighs vs chicken breast debate... personally I'd rather have less chicken thighs than more dry chicken breast. I don't seem to find a super quick way to cook it so it's not so dry
Not sure how it affects the nutritional content but have started marinating my chicken breast in pickle juice. My husband’s grandmother did this and I think the reasoning is that the pickle juice makes the chicken breast hold on to the moisture. It doesn’t taste like pickle juice.
I agree that's why I stuck to chicken thighs for so long! I like to baste my chicken breasts when I'm cooking them to help keep moisture in! Also, cooking them low and slow helps! I will make different versions of this but the marinade I make is: olive oil, apple cider vinegar, dijon mustard, fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme). I will play around with some recipes and will make sure to post some!!
Add all the spuce to the chickenbreast, then fry all sides on a relative high temp, my stove goes from 1-9 and Im using the 7-8, then when fried, I put on a lid, lower the temp to (5). Cook until done ( I leave it for about 7-15 min depending on thickness, take out and cut theough to make sure cooked through. Gets me jucy chickenbreast every time. Good luck!
Hi Charlene, I'm just on the start of my journey and have a bit to lose. I'm walking each day and printed out the movement calendar and have started that this week. Really enjoy it as it's quick and easy to do but it feels like you've achieved something at the end of the day. Looking forward to seeing how we go! I'm in Australia and this is a great Spring challenge. Have a great week x
AHHH I'm SO excited that you are doing the challenge and enjoying it!!! Yes that is my favorite thing about this challenge is that you get a quick win AND move your body throughout the day and it just FEELS good! You're doing such a great job!!! Cheering you on!!! 💕
Awesome!! Good luck!! I’ve been working on body recomp since May. I rely on photos and measurements bc the scale is so discouraging! I’ve only dropped 13lbs since starting but visually my body has changed SO much more than 13lbs!! My background is similar to yours… I have an autoimmune disease (crohns disease) and years of harsh medications caused a lot of puffiness, muscle loss and fat gain. I’ve spent a long time focusing on eating foods that make my body thrive, reducing stress, prioritizing sleep and this year in May I finally got to a place where I was able to start focusing on increasing muscle and reducing fat. I started by just walking and that alone helped SO much! I recently added in rebounding and I’m hoping by the end of the year I can at a place to start weight lifting!! Joining your movement challenge 🫶🏻
Photo's and measurements are an excellent way to track! I should take some measurements as well! 13lbs is an incredible achievement! And yes when you are building muscle it's such a mind game seeing the scale go up that's why pictures and measurements are so important. You are doing such a great job!! I was in that boat last year! My cortisol levels were so high that my doctor told me to do only low impact workouts and no weights to help reduce my daily cortisol levels. It feels good to be lifting again! You'll get there! And I'll be here cheering you on!! So proud of you!! One day at a time and staying curious! We've got this!!! 💕 And I'm so excited that you're joining us for the challenge!!
Can’t wait to see your results! Sure is very motivating to tag with you! I’m currently on my own weigh loss journey so this was more motivation to continue with mine❤
I love your channel! I can relate to you so much! I also was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease (SLE Lupus) in my 30s and as you know that can bring challenges while trying to stay healthy and maintain consistent habits. I lost 50lbs over the course of a couple years from diet and exercise changes but still have about 30 more to go so I can hit my goal weight of 130 also. I appreciate your videos and look forward to checking out your recipe book. :)
Oh my goodness Nicole! YES I understand the auto-immune struggles! You're doing such a great job! I'm SO proud of you and so happy to have you in this beautiful community!!! What do you find your biggest struggle is?
@@charlenetown1111 my biggest struggle is staying consistent with my workouts when I wake up and I’m just feeling too sore or stiff. My second biggest struggle is probably giving myself some grace on those days or when I’m in a flare up. I’m such an all or nothing personality. It’s a work in progress for me. Also, I struggle with my food because if I eat a lot of carbs or especially bread that really gives me a lot of inflammation.
@@nicolevargas239 I feel you on the staying consistent when I'm sore or stiff or honestly when I wake up in a flare. Something that I REALLY lean on in those moments is "SOME movement is better than NO movement." So sometimes that looks like some gentle yoga, stretching and foam rolling, turning on some music and dancing, going for a walk. Sometimes doing a workout when I'm sore helps get me through the sore and sometimes it just doesn't feel good. Remember we are actually building muscle NOT when we are working out but on our recovery days and when we sleep. So allow yourself to rest and do some gentle movement if it feels good for you. Mindset matters so start telling yourself you are worthy of rest, you are worthy of having the body of your dreams, your body is working towards perfect health. And cutting out carbs was hard at the beginning but it was a game changer for my inflammation levels for sure. Now I can eat some sourdough bread occasionally and I will make pancakes with gluten free flour and protein and they are my FAVORITE! Just find some healthy swaps that make your body feel better! You're doing a great job! And I'm so proud of you!!!

Yes there is always that possibility!! As long as tracking doesn't trigger you and it works in your lifestyle I say do it!! I was able to maintain my 45lb weight loss for 3 1/2 years before the cortisol went crazy. Just listening to my body and trying something new! What app do you use to track?
