Nous' ability to predict what would happen didn't really have an influence on the story so I decided to leave it out to keep the video as clear a possible. But you are correct! Nous' calculations are ridicilously precise and can predict literally everything
The purpose of mythus and aha covering up the "calculated truth" by nous is to keep humanity from despair. As knowing that nous calculatiom is always true and it will eventually happen could make human question whether anything is worth living. To me it's interesting how the devs could make every aeons counteracts and balance each other
Idk if you already known about it but the mechanical war reached out the xianzhou alliance with the Aurumatons rebellion when they were in between in their "three catastrophes". After the 3 catastrophes and mechanical wars ended they destroyed any Aurumatons that could talk or think. The only surviving one was one with their head intact.
Gotta love the sci-fi of HSR it really is what we needed, a really good rpg that explores different subjects of that umbrella of the genre that is sci-fi.
I've got a theory that Polka is a 'Kafka-face' - somewhat like SIlver Wolf is to Bronya. Her appearance in the pink/purple dress in that SU skit looks uncannily similar. But later portraits give her wrinkles, so she's not 'our' Kafka if that makes sense.
Considering Kafka admitted to releasing the Data Demons during her trial at the time of the Japella Rebellion, it might even be our Kafka under disguise.

I thought all this happened hundreds of years ago, but iirc screwllum herta and ruan mei were there when fuli talked to the ipc executive's retirement speech, so maybe not so distant in the past?
3:30 could this be the same story that happened to dr chadwick (a genius society member) and ipc guy (dudley i think that was his name) it’s the exact same situation where the scientist creates a destructive item and the ipc member betrays him and ends up killing the rest of the crew to test the power of the destructive item made by the naive scientist?? this story is oddly familiar to the one im describing but their names aren’t similar so im wondering what happened. (Also this is from a quest in penacony, in the dreamscape next to the origami bird fountain i believe there’s an old man sitting on a bench you can talk to and from there it’s gonna start the quest!)

Basically yes! They want to destroy/obstruct history and information all the time, to honour Mythus.
The entire ideology of their faction is to keep the past obscure/malleable so that the future is not set in stone
