Along the lines of creating routines and diminishing intent, one thing that helped me most last year was to start implementing the 'goal' behaviors in advance instead of waiting for January, 1st. Like setting the table and getting ahead, creates a nice dopamine hit as well as reduces resistance afterwards. In 2024, I wanted to reduce animal products consumption and upgrade my living area, so I started cooking vegan meals and looking into home accessories in Nov-Dec last year :)
This year, I planned a fun adventure for each quarter 😊 I chose to go to a concert and I have my final gig in December. It's such a great idea I learned from watching your videos. I already have my first gig for Q1 organised - I'm seeing Kylie Minogue 😭💗 Thank you Michelle 💕
As someone who DIDN'T work out as a kid, but finally STARTED as an adult... It is life-changing. Also, it took a solid 3 years of trying and failing and trying again to build it as a habit. Start with something FUN and simple, 2-3 days a week. You got this!!!
Something I would like to know: How do you handle goals like "Saying No to others more often"? How do you plan steps to reach this goals and how do you control them?
As someone who solely uses physical planners/workbooks, I won’t lie, I miss the beautiful hard copy Life Map planners. Yes I am over a certain age. 😂 Having said that I am excited about this mini-workbook as it seems like something I. An actually easily print out for use.
Well since I didn't want to pay for the shipping I bought the first edition of The Life Map, printed it and binded them with a spiral. I enjoyed it using that way.
Great video, muchelleb. Looking forward to your next upload! I smashed that thumbs up button on your content. Keep up the amazing work! Your insights on the 80/20 rule for happiness were particularly eye-opening. How do you suggest we effectively identify and eliminate the 20% of causes that lead to unhappiness in our lives?
Personally I feel like I need to be nicer to myself. I focus a lot on how I was not able to make working out and eating really clean a habit - but I had my second baby this year, and my mommas know how hard it is to juggle two kids and have everyone healthy, fed and clothed and punctual at all appointments (plus kindergarden every day). I need to give myself the grace, because I had a lot on my plate this year and working out just didn't have any space left. But maybe next year? We will see 😂
I really truly deeply want one thing that doesn't depend on me so it's not easy for me to get. The others blur and pale in comparison, they kinda all become something 'i want to want' but I don't want that much, really. So, I seem to relate but in a sad way :") Looking forward to the habit video, I think that habits, like emotions, are sometimes difficult to single out and name, if you are not used to it, let alone work on them. I remember there once was a diagram with emotions to help one determine what exactly they feel. I really need something to study the habits :) Meanwhile, straight to rewatching the 'stop being authentic' video. I remember I loved it last time :) P.S. Can we take a moment to admire the 'do nothing club' sweatshirt?
I made a vision board.last December. One goal for this year was to meet 3 RUclipsrs. Guess what? I met them all on the same day when my directions.to the beach went wrong. I met the D'Avella family!!.
Hey! This is a mini "best year yet" planning workbook, not The Life Map! I'd call it like a "side-dish" to The Life Map that I created for Black Friday! It takes some inspiration from The Life Map, but it's a little more zoomed out and focused on planning your year ahead vs creating a goal-setting system.
@@arletbode4847 It hasn’t been updated since 2.5 around mid-year - if you don’t have access to the 2.5 version, you can shoot an email to support@muchelleb.com.au. I hope that helps!
When people always want the best, they have an issue to enjoy the moment. This whole superlative goal isn't satisfying. Life is so much better without having a certain plan.
Hmm I get where you're coming from, sometimes life without any goals or plans is nice, but I think there's a balance - and that different things work for different people.
Ooh I actually see this differently, I think we’re always probs evolving and there are always new challenges to take on and that’s the whole point of life ~ so it probably is a lifelong journey of moving closer to who you want to be and building new pathways, but a positive one at the end of the day.
Procrastination is the symptom of something else, underlying. Figuring out what that something else is and focusing on overcoming that is where our power is. For me, it has been ADHD that was discovered recently, in my 40's. Now I can focus on managing ADHD and my procrastination is improving as a side effect. Good luck! You are not alone.

Working out consistently is the one habit that would change my life I just know 😭💯

This is such a good refresher. I went ahead and purchased the guidebook because I really want to start setting a balance and trajectory for my life.

How exciting!! I am ready!!

Ahh thats HUGE! Sending you ease!
Oh!! New post! 🎉
What a great video Michelle thank you so much 🙏🏻 Cant wait to integrate this! Question where is your sweatshirt from cause I love it soo much haha
I actually think it's thrifted but!! originally from cotton on?? Probably a long time ago, I'm not too sure that it's in stock right now.
I started watching your channel when I finished high school and I found it again now I'm at my first internship 😅❤️
I love this 🥰
Gonna take note of these steps. I feel like I didn’t accomplish as much as I had in mind this year
You can also stop wanting to accomplish anything. That just set you under stress and pressure.
Thanks for the great video!
I still have the original life map hard copy. Just purchased the current won. 💋
🥰💕
What are everyone’s mini and big adventures? Need some inspiration ☺️
Definitely some day road trips, I’ve always found peace driving and exploring new places around me
ask ChatGPT! ;)
Mini: skiing ⛷️ and hiking 🥾
Big: start grad school and purchase a beautiful house 🏡
I made a vision board.last December. One goal for this year was to meet 3 RUclipsrs. Guess what? I met them all on the same day when my directions.to the beach went wrong. I met the D'Avella family!!.
What the heck!! That's so fun. Love it!
Michelle did you upgrade the life map to 3.0? I bought it but mine looks different from this one. Please help!

Hey Michelle yes I know that’s a different product but did you update the life map?

#important What is the 20% code? I can't find it anywhere. Thank you! :)
Hey!! No code
Where is the video link for the map that moved you towards the newer you? Vs old me?
It should be there!! If not, look up Current me / future me exercise from lavendaire!
This may be a depressing question, but is it possible to ever become who you want? Or is it something we chase until we die?

@muchelleb That's definitely a better way to see things, I'll try it out. Thank you
I want to want to workout
Same girl. We got this 💪🏻
I’d love to STOP procrastinating 😊 this would change my life INDEFINITELY 🧘♀️🎂🎀🪽
