I´ve been watching your videos for years now, and almost every time they make me think "omg this is gold i need to write it down so i dont forget". Thank you for making such an interesting and useful content!
I just found your channel and I am enjoying it so much! I’ve watched a ton of productivity content and yours has the most original and very approachable tips than any of them. THANK YOU!!! I have to get a note book out to write everything down each time I watch a video of yours. You are the best!
I am NOTORIOUS for avoiding tasks or switching to something less important, especially when I'm on a deadline. I love the idea about listing and investigating those alerts and the associated feelings. A lot of the time, I am nervous about doing a task wrong or I'm dreading the boredom of reading an entire chapter for my college classes.
It's funny, while I know a lot of this stuff, there's something about how you've presented it that made parts of it click more in my brain. Gonna dig through some of your old videos for ideas on how to figure out what to pivot to. I think I remember there being one a year or two ago. A big reason why I get stuck in scrolling is it feels like there's no better option. But if it makes me feel like crap - even doing nothing/just being present would be a better option.
This is exactly what I am experiencing right now and your video opened my eyes to the real problem behind my procrastination and social media binge. just what I needed right now thank you so much! ❤
Learn to log distractions, practice mindful consumption, track time, simplify tasks, and manage attention to improve focus and productivity. 00:31: Log your internal alerts to understand distractions better. 02:13: Conduct mini-experiments to increase mindfulness during consumption. 05:31: Track time spent on tasks to correlate with mood and focus. 06:58: Simplify tasks by creating a structured approach for completion. 10:03: Use distractions as opportunities to practice attention management.
I feel so good overcoming this issue and balance and using social media to inspire and be positive and making money. When I slip i accept my slip and keep pushing. ❤❤
this was a FANTASTIC and very valuable video! thank you! also I appreciate that it lasted longer and that you took the time to expand on each of these tips.. it's noticeable how much thought and work it is behind it
The only way that I've been able to get stuff done is to add one thing to the list that I really hate to do. So if I start out with having to do laundry, washing dishes, and prepping for tomorrow, I will hardly get these things done because they are all very boring and I've done them about 10 million times. But if I add that I have to check the oil in the car, I notice that I can whiz bang out those first 3 tasks. I hate checking the oil in the car. On a side note, has anyone ever become very absorbed in what a content creator was saying that you kind of lose yourself in the video? And then when it's over, you happen to look down at your leg and see a snake on your leg and really freak out big time? But then 2 seconds later realize that it was the belt to your bathrobe? Anyone done that? I'm not going to wear a belt when I watch Muchelle's videos in the future.
I love your videos and I respect your content no matter what, but I just wanted to say I always really prefer videos who just 'properly' name their chapters/bookmarks. It feels less like I'm being tricked into watching all of it regardless of relevance to me, and more like I'm being helped. But that's just me! I could be the minority on that.
I totally agree and I was thinking of the way to put it as nicely as you've managed to do :) I like to re-read the timestamps after watching the video to recap and decide on the first step I'm gonna take to put the advice into practice. To me it's a really useful thing and not just the way to skip some parts . Anyway you can only fully understand what the captions mean after you've watched the video ;)
@@4eburawka18 For me a lot of the time I check my subscription feed in the morning, and based on the video titles _and_ chapters (if it's "self-help" related content) I save it to watch later when I have time! When I can't spot quickly at least somewhat of what the video is going to teach me, I don't save it, and I don't end up watching it 🤷♀I've become very aware that consuming self-improvement content "just in case" it's relevant to me can become a really toxic time waste for me, like digging for gold.

Number 4 is my favorite

I really love the first tip about seeing our moments of distraction as an alert to something deeper 🤍

Question: is anyone else having this issue??
I'v been mostly listening to books & I'm finding it harder and harder to read physical books
The floral bedding shown at about 3:30, I need this. 😂 Where is it from?
The red timer clock what do you call that for wanting to buy? A timer clock? I want to buy one
Search for Pomodoro Timer ..... there's various styles of clock/timer you can get
Visual timer -lots on Amazon

Look up time timer! I love them; I have 2. Use them for work and also cooking
Maybe Hello Fresh didn't sponsor your video, but they defo put their adverts into your video :D

I think that since it’s a short video, the time stamps aren’t as important 😊

You could revisit using the transcript

i hear you. if it's muchelle b, it's gold.
The very second you mentioned Hello Fresh, and said it should be sponsored, the video stopped and an add for Hello Fresh came up. Freaky
Please never stop making videos 🤍🤍🤍 they help me so much
