Those Skoda trains look really nice outside, i will check them in april while visiting Latvia. It would be nice to see such as this one hybrid trains to Ventspils port, where from i going to start my journey, i going to there with ferry from Sweden
In my opinion, they are very comfortable as for passenger as well :) Agree, it would be great to renew the passenger train service to Ventspils, but unfortunately, this is not something that will happen in upcoming, at least because of the lack of diesel (or hybrid) trains...
@@Aviationvlad What is the reason for cutting off such a large city as Ventspils from the rest of the country ??? I can understand that the lack of sufficient rolling stock is the reason, because the line is not electrified, but I think it is idiotic that no one has decided to buy adequate rolling stock to maintain these connections. What is the traffic towards Ventspils ? I was there in 2024 in November, nothing came from Riga/Jelgava for the whole day, i mean freight traffic of course
@@darainandor2761 as far as I know, the exact date when they will be taken out of service has not been defined yet. However, there is a quite small probability to see them running this winter. We’ll see.
А как планируют вести дальше Rail baltica за Ригой, вдоль побережья через Скулте до Пярну? Потому что разобранная старая трасса через Айнажи и Алою явно не подходит для быстрого сообщения.
Тут есть карта - info.railbaltica.org/en/interactive-map . Пойдет в сторону Салацгривы, далее в Пярну. Трассировка будет совершенно новая (в отличие от нынешних или закрытых ж/д линий.
Шкоды меньше года в работе (если это можно работой назвать), а скрип тормозов уже просто финиш. Cмотриш на них, и нравятся всё меньше и меньше. ЭРки как ни крути лучше и самое главное надёжней.

Don’t have the exact number, but just few of them are left in regular service.
