  • Join us on an exhilarating journey to La Boca, a hidden gem in the Cabarete area, renowned for its flat water paradise where rivers meet the sea. La Boca is a coveted spot among kiteboarding enthusiasts, especially for those prepping for competitions, thanks to its serene flat waters, a stark contrast to the bustling, wave-filled beaches of Cabarete.
In this adventure, the MangoHouseKite crew guides us through the vibrant streets of Cabarete to the tranquil waters of La Boca. The journey itself is a spectacle, offering glimpses of the Dominican lifestyle, from the spirited horse riders to the lively fruit vendors. Despite the road's challenges as we approach the river, the excitement was palpable.
Upon arrival, while La Boca's rustic charm was evident with its less-than-pristine conditions, the spirit of the local community was uplifting, with families enjoying barbecues and the thrill of jetski racing. However, the water was busier than anticipated, with kites and jetskis filling the space, presenting a unique challenge to navigate.
Not to be deterred, we ventured into the sea, finding surprisingly flat conditions perfect for executing a series of awe-inspiring tricks, from boogies to double backroll kiteloops. Yet, the adventure took a tense turn when Matus's kite began to lose air, adding a dramatic twist to our downwinder back to Kite Club Cabarete.
Witness our journey along the 15km coastline, battling through the elements and ensuring our fellow kiter's safety, culminating in a triumphant return and a celebratory session of high-flying kiteboarding.
This video is not just about kiteboarding; it's a tale of camaraderie, adventure, and the unexpected. Dive into our story and discover why La Boca is a must-visit for every kiteboarding enthusiast.

I’ve had that experience of a deflating kite, it was my first kitemare. It can be really hairy if you’re in a tricky spot far from shore. Very unnerving when you sheet in and the kite just folds.
Glad he made it in ok.
My culprit ended up being delaminating valve(s), hopefully the issue is a quick fix!
