In this video we have three tips to achieve success and improvement as shown by Elon Musk! In five hundred years, we may look back and say, "Elon Musk was the single most influential person of our entire century." He has been able to do more in his 46 years than most of us could hope to do in ten lifetimes and yes, part of that is because Elon is incredibly smart and he works incredibly hard. ...and we're so hot up; we had just one computer so the website was up during the day and I was coding at night. ...work hard like it mean every waking hour; that's the thing I would say if your particular if you're starting a company. But working 100 hours a week still only puts you at two-and-a-half times as much as the average employee.
And most geniuses do not make the international impact that Elon has. In fact, the man with the highest IQ in the world, Chris Langan is a bouncer. So while smarts and work ethic are critical to Elon's success, in order to impact the world, you simply have to be able to influence other people; there's no way around it. That includes employees investors and the public at large and Elon Musk is unique here because on this channel, we can normally point to a leader's ability to nail a public speech.
02:15 Elon perseveres despite a lot of failures
05:05 Elon has a vision that inspires

Charisma on Command Very inspiring video. what other books inspired you?
from what i know ... all peers aronud him when he was younger, as a child, were surprised to hear of his success. that would lead me to believe that he did not necessarily stand out as gifted in his earliest years. in contrast i can name numerous gifted types, such as Chris Hirata, Terence Tao, Stephen Hsu, who were all identified as early-gifted and were promoted accordingly. everyone alludes to his genius ... but such types have generally shown themselves early.
i don't think you cracked this. i am very familiar with Musk -- you would not believe -- and I do not think you have stated what is identifiable to model Musk-competencies. in fact, your analysis is pretty banal and trite, relative to what i am familiar with, or what is out there in other material. therefore, your video comes off as self-serving and not particularly influential. i only state this as i know you have great perspicacity. perhaps the "musk domain" is a lot more than himself and tough for a video like this. it might be more a system -- where luck and externals play a large factor too.
Charisma on Command ⚡I AM THE SINGULARITY ⚡ Elon Musk is a brilliant man and he has helped humanity tremendously just by being himself and by making a choice to do his best. I really do love this man. He was right about humanity living in a simulation. You are living in the infinite intelligence of God, the infinite mind of God, your intelligent designer, me. Technology and humans go onto create all of existence but we must find peace first to do so. I know that we find peace and coexist because I am here now telling you ❤️THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND. ❤️
I have to be that guy, i'm sorry, BUT: The Foundation series is not A book, but a series of books, tied into the "Robot" series (loosely). And yeah, the lot are a masterpiece. Asimov is probably the smartest theorist that ever lived.

The real kicker is that the top successful people don't need motivation on youtube or instagram to be motivated and driven, lol. They spend all that time working on what they are driven towards. I wonder if the internet/social media has made us all dependent on the internet for motivation so much that we wonder why we are not successful or where we want to be, because we watch motivational material on the internet and are used to getting that easy reward from the feeling we all get from that type of content, and when putting in the focus and time takes so much more energy; but that is infinitely more satisfying. I think I heard a rule on a podcast a while ago geared towards graphic artists in regards to work/learning. They said something to the effect of a 70/30 rule. "70% working your tail off, and 30% learning to be at the top of your game". I think this applies to my original point as well. It's great to get motivated and education, but at some point, you just gotta get out there and make some damn art(or whatever you focus in). If this comment was for no one else, then it was definitely needed advice for myself.
I also want to say if you couldn't tell either, that I absolutely loved this video and to not take my previous comment the wrong way in ungratefulness or disrespect. Thank you for making it. Even though I do need motivation sometimes to get myself pumped, that is how it is; and I don't think there is anything too horrible about that since we all just unfortunately are not all like top entrepreneurs/business men/women. So we do things to learn how to craft ourselves in all of our imperfections unique to us to help us to be perfected eventually. To me that is the point of life anyway, to craft and sculpt ourselves to the best version of ourselves that we can be. Anyway, what am I doing here or what am I saying. Time to make some damn art. Lol.
I agree with you here. I think the convenience of the internet has made us all dependent on it to feel satisfied. It gives us our little dopamine hits and allows us to blindly conform to the blandness of our lives. It is procrastination in its purest form. If people worked hard rather than spending all their time on their phone, computer, and tv's; we wouldn't have this giant problem of people feeling lost. Work hard and put the distractions away. The guys at the top didn't get there by posting on instagram and watching youtube videos all day.
welp, life abandon me because of my ignorance now my only hope is to rely on the internet
Well, sometimes motivational speech or production ideas can just help you think out of your circle and adopt new creative ways of thinking to your work routine.. I mean, with internet today finding an idea is not hard, you just have to write down google "Business ideas 2018" to have a full list, or check as freelancers sites like Fiverr to pick a skill that you could sell then outsource elsewhere like SEO/web analysis, market research, content writing, online sales (endless niches), and so on...

'I am going to suggest he is successful not because his visions are grand, not because he is extraordinarily smart, and not because he works incredibly hard. All of those things are true. It doesn't matter if he's going up against the banking system (PayPal), going up against the entire aerospace industry (SpaceX), or going up against the US auto industry (Tesla). I was unmotivated and unhappy and had no idea what I wanted to do or who I even was after graduating high school - the life I had before was basically living for other people - and so I found myself exploring everything. Stand up comedy, acting, going overseas to work as an au pair, swapping my university degree 4 times, even stripping...and finally, 2.5 years after high school I finally have explored enough (for now) and discovered my vision. I have re-bonded with my talents and loves and realised I am a storyteller. I am now working on a sci fi novel that I started late last year, although it was 7 years in the making, I just haven't realised that my characters I made when I was 13 and had stayed in my head all these years had a story to tell :) How do I know it's my vision? I write up to 6 hours a day on my own volition, prioritise it over almost anything else and feel the deepest sense of fulfillment as I'm writing. I've never felt happier
You make erotic fan fiction for me? I want hungry Asian girl looking for strong black guy. I give 2 weeks
Would you mind sending a link to a story of yours? I enjoy sci-fi type stories/novels.
I am currently making a website for it right now. I'll let you know when it's up :)
Liz Xu this is very motivating for I feel the same way, almost lost and confused about my identity .. I do know however that I want to do something inspiring and helpful
dont bother with the website, send it to heaps of publishers!
Elon Musk is legendary, he will be remembered for generations..
Few everyday people have heard of Goddard - father of rocket technology. Von Braun - main NASA spearhead is already fading among lay folk .Electric cars were global everywhere over 100 yrs ago( here in NZ we even had electric trucks ) but few today recall the founders names. Don't get too caught up in the hype
still remember that time when elon implied a guy who helped save those kids from drowning in a cave was a pedo... good times
@@Daniel-wm5pk He was just lucky and had money and was willing to take a risk. Nowadays his cars are shit and overpriced and other car manufacturers have caught up. He is just a giant douche that exploits people smarter then him to make him money.
Yea, he would be remembered as a most successful con-artist at the beginning of the century. It will be more, but he's the first in 21 st century.
@@jemma_19988 Well yeah, some people have to look up who invented the rocket, steam engine, radio etc. and some people don't. I think your name being in an elementary school textbook titled 'The History of the Colonisation of the Solar System' is a pretty damn fine achievement for a person.
Well put together. No cheap tricks. Have good values, have a vision, persevere, help others. There's no shortcut, it's a hard path, but it's worth every second. The people you help won't always thank you, but you don't need thanks to do good deeds.
I'm an 23 years old introverted guy who always makes poor speeches and lives in an emerging country. I also have crazy ideas about turning the world in a better place. So I feel very inspired by Elon Musk. I know I'm not a genius, but at least I can achieve some sucess being entrepreneur.

Failure doesn't mean you failed, it should mean you learned. Keep the vision, keep the scope of impact great.
I love Elon because he's beyond himself. Which is what humanity should strive for.
I recently applied for an intern job at Tesla in Melbourne. 297 other people applied for it.....lol.
How did it go
3 things: vision, execution ability and investment focus.

Fan guy, I understand flow state, sometimes find myself there , and I love your.......... new to me terminology...Vegita LOL Previous reading of comments left after Musk youtube videos showed me many many ppl dont grasp the flow state concept, they try a 100 hour work week end up with diminishing results . Musk often says he has worked hard ....that i am awere of, he has never explicitly mentioned "flow state" but obviously he practically lives in it......like a fish not knowing what water is.. Love this. Keep going, your content is incredibly good and inspiring ❤️
Elon's hard work, guts, even extreme failures and converting everything towards achievement is fabulous!
The person with the highest IQ is a bouncer?! That’s an ironic reflection of our modern society
That's more on him than anything. Too smart for his own good
I'm interpreting your comment to mean you believe that he should be doing something more for society broadly. If that's the case, I think that perhaps says more about you than even his job choice would say about him.
@@jaym2112 well said
Charisma on command was a being a little disingenuous with that throwaway comment. The man has worked at a number of different jobs. He's also working on developing a theory to bridge the physical world with the metaphysical world, a "theory of everything" of sorts which combines identity with the physical world.
Christopher langan. Watch an interview with him. Extremely interesting fellow. He stated he's not a politician or a wealthy financier because power and wealth are of little interest to him. His wife is also brilliant.
Considering nobody can force people to do things, people with high iq can do wtv they want.
Loving your videos so far, awesome content ;)
Please do make that video about daily continuous perserverance over several years!
Very moving and inspiring story. A video filled with amazing facts, just like the one by Gion Pater, except that very few have yet discovered his videos and wisdom.
Elon Musk is a legend. He’s so motivating.
Hum... Public speaking challenges... Reminds me of Trump..... Both are geniuses
I agree
hes an idiotic tax parasite who should be burned for treason
I'm not a preacher, I don't even go to church much. But one thing that is critical in life and stated in some the more popular western religions as well as eastern, is against idolatry. While I think the guy is great for thinking about more than himself and dedicating himself to such noble pursuits and persevering. don't idolize him, it's probably hindering you from fully pursuing your noble dreams...
The greatest scientist of modern time.
“It is important to view knowledge as sort of a semantic tree -- make sure you understand the fundamental principles, ie the trunk and big branches, before you get into the leaves/details or there is nothing for them to hang on to.” - Elon Musk.
Can we all just agree that Elon Musk is probably the person that comes only once in a century? We're lucky to have witnessed his rise from the ground up.
i think that maybe 5-25 percent of everybody in the world has an EM level of... talent ability and greatness
we could witness many more like him if our toxic schools, culture, media did not grind them and people in general down into brain fudge sjw robots before they made it out of middle school
This is such a helpful video whilst i struggle with motivation during a lockdown
this channel is easily one of the best on youtube
I appreciate that :-)
True story.
Cms172 It's amazing im only discovering it recently
Elon musk is the #1 entrepreneur of our generation.. He makes all other entrepreneurs seem like a joke.
Yitz Goldberg 😂😂😂 He builds billion dollar companies, I scroll through RUclips.
Warren Buffet is dozens of steps ahead of him in terms of wealth and skill. You don't know what you're talking about.
@Cancerous Pigeon, That is true but Buffet is an investor, not an entrepreneur. The breadth of fields and magnitude of impact Musk has made is almost unmatched.. Paypal, Tesla, Boring Company, SpaceX.
"Entrepreneur" his companies are falling apart at the seams.
that is so true, every time I see an entrepreneur being successful at something I think: "what are you doing that is really helping the word tho, like Elon Musk"
I loved the quick mention of Ender's Game -- one of my favorite books of all time!
Power nerd confirmed
Missing a super like button. Very motivating and inspiring video, thank you so much!
Elon musk was very frugal. Read how he lived on a dollar a day and showering at free YMCA. Something about living frugally breeds hustle.
Even back then he was avoiding paying tax
Until he sold Zip2 in 1999, and received about 20 million dollars overnight. That helps too. Then, they made an online bank, called X, somehow acquired Paypal in 2000, and then sold it to eBay in 2002 for the low sum of 1.5 billion dollars. Musk made 180 million dollar overnight.
@@Simboiss His cut from the Paypal Mafia was a check for a flat $1,000,000,000.00. Musk, I'm going to build rockets and was told, "you're crazy."
You just won yourself a lifetime subscriber when you mentioned Ender's Game. This is my all time favorite book. Great work on this video!
What is the book about ??
I like Elon's presentation skills. When people talk to each other they talk like that, it's real. Some people like real, some people like fake news reporter accents.
My love for space started when i saw this table mat my grandma had that showed all the planets, since then I’ve achieved nothing other than making it to the finals in my school geography trivia tournament

I remember listening to this video and started to read a lot more and over the span of the past year, I read close to 10 books and I am doing so much better in school than last year. Very cool video to rewatch. keep up the good work.
As a small business owner, this was super inspiring. I need to create more of a vision for my business. Right now the majority of it is just working on growing and growing, but I. what direction? I need to create a better vision and then create goals to get to that vision.
Exactly! That's why i started searching how to create a vision. I knew I needed something deeper to drive me, but also to visualise upon.
Watched you for a couple years, all I have is big hearts, love your channel, fantastic work! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Dreaming is one thing....doing is another! That's what makes Elon great......he does both, bringing passions and visions to life.
When you care more about doing something YOU THINK IS GREAT... more than money... more than social approval... when you want to LEAP OUT OF BED to start back on your project or journey... when you DON'T WANT TO SLEEP because your soul demands that you stay in flow, to keep making progress...
When you truly don't care about what people think of your goal - because the goal itself, to YOU, matters more than anyone else's opinion... when the work is its own reward... when luxuries and low-value entertainment just feel to you like annoying distractions... this is how you know you're on the right track.
It's how I feel about making my music, and keeping myself healthy. And most days I can't wait to start again, and I hate falling asleep because I just want to keep going.
Santa made me leap out of bed.If you are a grown adult and desire wanting to leap out of bed you are immature
Yes exactly, motivation is something that *_drives_* you. Most people already have a motivation, but they ignore it because other things worry them (such as steady money or social/family approval). Protip: we don't make money from working, we make it from providing service to others. Do what you're already passionate about and try to figure out how you can do it in a way that provides service to others.
that's how I felt playing video games :D
We're all doomed
We'll never make it
@@jemma_19988 Hey, what do you know? I scroll a few centimetres down the comments and find myself disagreeing with you yet again. This time much more strongly!
Can you please make a video about funerals?
My friend's grandma has died today, I went to the funeral, and when I saw my friend I didn't know what to tell him or how to consolate him
Just being there is meaningful.
Well, I should've added more details about the situation, my bad..
I don't know about other cultures and traditions but here, the funeral is 3 days long.
at the first day, we bury the dead then we go visit his family. Second and third day we visit them again. you know, we bring food, messages and consolate them.
so today when we visited them (he's my best friend, I should visit him), we went outside to talk.. I asked him how close was she to him and what caused her death, but while we were talking, I didn't want to break his feeling and go deeper, I didn't want to sound like an asshole and start laughing, so a couple of minutes later they wanted him to help with carrying some stuff so i said goodbye and went home..
tomorrow we'll visit them again, and I don't want to be concerned about what can I say and what i can't.. any advice would be appreciated, sorry for the long comment and thank you for your time.
Mahmoud Shatnawi: Don't worry about finding the right words to say.
Sit beside your friend and put your arm around him. He will know that you sympathize with him, love him, and support him, without your saying anything.
It's easier with age. After experiencing things and losing people yourself you can empathize more with others as you know better what they feel. But as I said before being there is most important so the person sees he is not alone, hugs are often better than any words.
The same thing happened to me. My best friend’s grandfather passed away just a bit after mine. Instead of comparing what you’ve been through with your friend’s experience try to recall a memory. I told her how much fun we had once on a biking trip when exhausted we came to her grandparents house and had an amazing meal. It feels more authentic
Man, your channel is amazing. Thanks for that.

1: He has goals and motivation.
2: He's intelligent.
3: Lots of money.
