      Dang man, sorry to hear that! Hopefully the spacers help out while you wait for those replacement cats to arrive! :)

    I have a 2018 Lexus RC F. If you're not familiar with the car, it's a 500 HP, 5.0 L V-8. I installed PPE Equal Length Headers and Apexi dual exhaust. My cats were stolen. Luckily I live in a "non-inspection Midwest state" so I purchased several of these "straight" and 90' Defoulers or mini-cats". I'm still getting both PO420 and PO430 codes. I've swapped out different length defoulers and I have a set that are "adjustable", offering you 3 different size holes, small, medium, and large. I started with the small, and after resetting the codes via my OBD2 tool, I went out for a test ride. Unfortunately, within 20 or 30 minutes of various driving, the CEL comes on for the same PO420 and PO430 codes. I did NOT disconnect the battery, only resetting the codes using my scanner. Is it necessary to disconnect the battery when resetting the codes with the scanner or are you doing this to remove the codes instead of using a scanner ??? I have a bunch of Live Data but I'm not entirely sure which scan tool data I should be looking at and what the data should look like in order for the ECU to be satisfied and stop throwing up these codes. At 2,000 RPM's driving 75 MPH the Live Data shows the following:
    OXYGEN SENSOR (bank 1 sensor 2) = 0.135 Volts
    OXYGEN SENSOR (bank 2 sensor 2) = 0.075 Volts
    I have a ton more data but I believe these are what I need to be looking at, the downstream bank 1/bank 2 sensor 2's. Any help would be appreciated. I'm dreading having to go the "O2 Simulator" route as I'll need at least 2, possibly 4 simulators and that's over $500.00. I'd happily purchase a tune, but no one makes one for 2018 and later RCF's. Thanks again!!!!!

      Heya! Yes, I'm familiar with the car... well, I know of the car and have seen them, never driven or worked on one or anything. Always thought they were pretty sweet! :D Sucks about the cats being stolen, wow!! :D What did you put in place of your missing cats? Welded in straight pipe? Need to double check there are no leaks anywhere. Exhaust leaks will cause those codes as well.
      If you are missing ALL of your cats you may need to at least replace your front missing cats with some high flow cats or something and just straight pipe the rear cats. Without a tune and running headers and straight pipe in place of all cats will def cause your air/fuel tables and what not to be off and you will get codes and possible performance issues, or at least not experience the full performance boost of the parts as possible.
      Are you sure "no one" tunes the car? Maybe a dyno shop or something? I know with Camaros and many other cars as soon as you replace the exhaust manifold and run some headers you pretty much must have a tune or will get check engine lights/codes, same with primary cats being replaced with straight pipe, etc.
      Looking around it seems there are a lot of options for tuning with the 2015-2016 cars but the 2017+ mostly all say "coming soon", lol :-/ I did find some posts on clublexus, one by maybe you, Drug350? :D But looking into it more I see a number of references to this person, instagram.com/tunedbyloi/, who "can" tune 2017+ ECU and TCU, so, it may be worth reaching out to them for a tune?

    The check engine light is super annoying when it disables remote start. Good hack while you wait for dealer to get parts...

      Yes, I agree! Also can disable some of the drive modes as well 😩

    Doesn't this effect fuel trims, and cause smog to fail?

    • @D3RPZILLA
      @D3RPZILLA  Год назад

      No. Primary cats would be a different story and require a tune. And you could have issues if you have some huge exhaust leak or something like that.

      @@D3RPZILLA I pretty much have a p0420 code....and was wondering if I did this, if the fuel trims would level out for smog purpose

      Do they hook up an emission smog tester to the tailpipe or do they run the codes or what? But o2 sensor spacer could help and get everything leveled up. If car has a check engine light it can cause the car to adjust tables and everything.

      @crystrezerex2life I'd give it a try and see how it pans out. They are cheap and get here fairly quick.

    Hi, I have one question,
    I Switched both 02 sensors so probably my cat is bad, I heard that the p0430 gives you less power, if I use this thing in your video does my power come back?
    Sry for my English🥲

    • @D3RPZILLA
      @D3RPZILLA  Год назад

      If the cat is actually BAD, such as clogged or something, then the 02 sensor spacer won't help with power issues. You would need to replace the cat... or, if it's a secondary cat that's clogged, you could always hollow it out (both secondary cats) and restore power. If primary, either delete the cats and TUNE for them being deleted, or, replace the bad cat, if it's clogged or something. Also, check for exhaust leaks which can cause code issue. When I got my P0420 code I had no difference in power. Have you noticed an actual power loss?
