Very cool seeing MC-10 again! I remember programming a dancing snake with accompanying music using the BASIC shortcut keys and saving to tape. I also bought a dinosaur pinball game from Radio Shack as well that was actually quite fun! It had a lot of good ideas, but constantly ran out of memory. The BASIC with built in sound, graphics and keyboard shortcuts should have been universal. Thanks for the memories and great job on the mods!
I just did the composite mod and 8k upgrade in mine a couple of months ago. I waited for ages for those boards to be made again. Well worth the wait. Along with the MCX-32 SD and now it's amazing how much more fun the little guy is.

The MC-10 was one of the first computers I owned. I lost so many programs I typed from it's crappy tape interface which never reloaded files I saved and the 16K expansion which, with the slightest touch, would crash the machine.
@@CanadianRetroThings So I'm told. I have heard that using a switch on the colorburst signal pulling it to ground would kill color and create a more sharp grey-scale image. Useful at times especially when the display with color isn't as crisp as wanted. Once my order comes in, I'll try to ID that line and see how to repurpose the 3/4 switch to pull color to ground.
@@erroneus00 Sounds like a great project, grey scale is much better for text only screens, so that would work great with the many available text adventures

With modern attachments you can go all the way to 128K!

Hello! I also ordered this when I saw it was available but I can't solder it I have a hand tremor problem.
Does this mod use the Ch3/4 switch to kill color?
The Ch 3/4 switch no longer does anything after this mod.
