      On the contrary, an angel food cake tends to require a large quantity of egg whites. Make one of those to go along with it.

      Depending on how many egg whites are required for the cake, you could take at least five of the egg whites - if you didn't combine them all - and make a swiss buttercream to add to said angel cake >.> Gonna be a busy day in the kitchen.

      Yes, its just as good with no booze but maybe try a little extra nutmeg. Put it in your coffee, pour it over a slice of cake, make it into ice-cream, heat and drink it like hot chocolate, put some gelatine in and make it desert... nog is very versatile; no alcohol needed.

    Why are vanilla beans so expensive?!!!!!

    • @velops
      @velops 7 лет назад +4

      Vanilla beans come from vanilla orchids. Orchids are very labor-intensive plants to cultivate because they are very picky about light, temperature, and humidity. It takes 3 years before a vanilla orchid is ready to produce a vanilla bean. A vanilla bean will only be produced if the plant is pollinated within 12 hours of blooming. Pollination has to be done by hand because the only natural pollinator for vanilla orchids is a particular species of bee from Mexico.
