my dad was a CAF sniper. I made my first ghillie suit at 16. He saw how much jute I was using and he said "I can hide better wearing this than you can wearing that." He was wearing jeans and a blue plaid shirt. He showed me how to make a ring using saplings or willow. The idea is you thread vegetation through the ring and then attach it to your back. Similar to what buddy was saying with the bipod to make a fake bush. My dad also showed me how to lift sods, shake off the dirt and use that to camouflage yourself

Another thing for consideration while vegging out your equipment. You can be on an FFP or OP for days. Rotate your live camo everyday, over time the leaves will wilt and discolor making you easy bait for any enemy Scout. Worst case scenario you won't even know you are compromised until artillery rounds start splashing on you!
Also, be smart...make sure you are picking vegetation from plants that are at the level of whatever you are trying to hide. Great video BTW👍

....really?...i mean, are you sure?.....you're trolling,right?....or it happened to you? Just asking, cause we usually use some sort of mirage/heat blocker....the suppressor it's almost never unprotected ;) Just saying...that being said...if in your unit you're forbidden to use those....you have other things to wary about. They didn't covered that part ,yet,in this video, but it will come up

Sounds dumb but I practiced on a shovel with dollar tree laundry bags cut into single squares draped over it. Painting the weapon is nbd, remove or tape off sensitive areas and spray. Just take your time and dust over it in long sweeps, change the mesh and paint color, repeat.
I never saw that shovel again..
