  • Dominant and recessive types, but no type constancy.
    The recessive type and its traits manifests obliquely (hidden text) via narcissistic tunneling. It crosses the dominant type barrier, disguised.
    Examples, Private cases of a larger phenomenon which I dubbed "narcissistic tunneling":
    Some covert narcissists are people pleasers. RUclipsrs who are self-styled moral crusaders, heroes, rescuers, savers.
    Other covert narcissists are perennial and competitive victims, never do wrong - always wronged. Empaths. RUclipsrs who self-identify as victims and codependents.
    RUclipsrs who out as narcissists but claim to be “healing”, “recovering”, or to be “in treatment” (manipulative codependency, control from the bottom).
    Cerebral would enjoy food or have a somatoform disorder or an eating disorder or would masturbate compulsively
    Somatic would philosophize about and create an ideology around his sexual conquests, dating, gender issues, relationships, martial arts, body building, exercise, become a health nut or an amateur MD, therapist.
    Covert will volunteer on high visibility projects or campaigns, initiate personal heroic morality crusades, join narcissistic institutions or collectives
    Overt will act shy or insecure, passive-aggressive, pseudo-humble in certain situations and is always envious.

    Yes as a sensitive person myself I realised that its a trauma response, its about control, it's also crossing other peoples energetic boundaries in order to mould myself to be seen as harmless, detect threats etc. When it is pathogenic it can be self destructive. It also disempowers the people around me if not kept in check. Without the sensitivity there is no feeling at all in alot of situations (feels psychopathic). I was raised by a borderline/adhd/narcisstic mother. I also present with ADD. My step father abused me in every way for many years. He was a Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde type. I've been going for all types of therapy for years and yes I'm into healing modalities and being the best version of myself but make no mistake I know there are things about me hidden to myself. I'm a hypocrite. I just don't want to be like them...I have come a long long way.

      your whole comment reads like something a narcissist would write, the fact you needed to show everyone how abused you were is quite evident that the "healing" process doesn't seem to work, you still need that self gratification from people liking your comment to prove to yourself that you have an important place among others and feel empowered, you're still covertly signalling to maintain a semblance of control, maybe try to focus on why you felt the need to tell this sob story (i believe you when you said all this by the way, but its still a sob story) because if you were in fact healing you wouldn't feel the need to perform this theatric display of victimhood and go into all this detail about having ADD and all that, just a making a blunt observation.

    • @berk9733
      @berk9733 3 месяца назад

      i say this because given the premise of your question related to trauma responses, you could have written that you were abused but the thing that sparked my comment were all the extra embellishments to give a more colorful story of the abuse and to signal what a victim you are (of course you are a victim, but engaging in these tactics only reinforces your narcissistic self delusions).

      @@berk9733 I identified a narcissistic behaviour in myself presented as sensitivity because I wanted other so called empaths to hopefully notice this sham and do the work. But overall, I also recall awareness and accountability during those time. This level of knowledge he has, is proof of how extreme behaviors have to be in a narracistic person. Just by being aware of yourself, the probability of serverly trespasing against others is not likely to happen

    Bonjour monsieur : au regard de ces informations , que peut-on déduire concernant les tests psychologiques destinés à mesurer le narcissisme (comme le tests de la triade noire, par exemple) ? Sont ils efficaces ? Leurs résultats mettent en évidence la partie que vous identifiez comme "dominante"? en ignorant l'autre ? J'espère avoir été claire et je vous remercie de préciser ce point. De même si vous avez des informations ou des études concernants la validité des ces tests, cela m'intéresse.

    I have noticed, and wondered if there were two types of sensitive people. I noticed there are people that have come to understand that they are paying way more attention to everything that is going on around them, they keep it to themselves and try to work with that within themselves and within their capacity to avoid burnout. Then are are sensitive individuals, that in an extreme example, announce their sensitivity in way that makes them very special and then use it as leverage to manipulate the behavior and language with everyone around them without shame and impunity. Is one playing opossum, or both? I’ll probably never know.
    Part of this talk also reminds me of countless times I’m seen shy, unconfident victim types get a series of successes and overnight become a completely different person, belligerent, entitled and ignorantly arrogant the following day or weekend. Almost unrecognizable. Where I see the change and think in panic, omg, I’m working with a crazy person.

    Is there something like Latent Narcissism? Something similarly like previously was called latent homosexuality? Latent homosexual makes innuendo homo jokes. Latent Narcissist tunnels his Narcissistic urges and needs. Perhaps it's something similar to covert narc that's not self aware, and by social habits tries to be normal.
