If you want see what happened when they went "turbo" look at the 718, sales fell off a cliff and they developed a new engine based on the 3L turbo the 4L NA for the 718 GTS, Spyder and GT4 - with the 4L Cup engine going in the Spyder RS and GT4 RS. All the NA were big hits. Everyone has their favourites but its the 991.2 GT3 RS and 997.2 GT3 RS that are my personal favourites. My all rounder favourites are the 997.2 GTS, 991.1 GTS and 981 GTS, in fact the 981 GTS may go down as one of the most complete sports cars Porsche ever made.
Nice video and great car! I love my 992.1 GT3 for many of the reasons you mention. One thing that does make the 992.2 GT3 attractive is that it will be available with the Weissach package, but for now I think I will stick with the .1
Thank you, and congrats on the GT3. My car is non weissach. I don’t love the look of the carbon hood that the WP gives you on the RS. I’d love to have it but likely would be unwilling to spec it given it’s a 30k option (I’m the 2nd owner of this car). Haven’t played around with the GT3 configurator yet but I’m sure we will see tons of WP 992.2 GT3 deliveries this year which is exciting

"meeting emissions relations...".... If Ferrari can have the 812 Super Fast add F12.....u truck it's AG excuse to follow a certain parts.. Maybe to cut costs.
Meh. The 992.2 GT3 exhaust changes affecting the engine won’t be a big deal to owners in the U.S. I bet at least half the owners will just end up replacing the factory exhaust with a titanium or Inconel unit that’s half the weight and adds back in all of the lost torque and probably like 30 hp.
This is true, this is what I did to mine. I put a boost logic center replacement on it. Sounds great. In order to keep warranty you cannot replace cats or particulate filters. I saw somewhere that the 992.2 will be much more difficult to modify the exhaust on, but who knows
I am agree, Porsche running out of options, it probably going to be hybrid assist with light battery, but new PDK ( again more weight) and obviously no manual . I am keeping my Touring and Spyder RS. I am sure new cars will be faster but less fun , to me, more weight, more technology, complicated service, battery maintenance.
I’m saying that this gen gt3 RS, and all GT models which would include the S/T, might be more desirable than future generations if they go Hybrid or Turbo. Also what makes you think I haven’t driven an S/T?

Nice ride! I'm on the list for a 992 GT3 RS and 992.2 GT3 touring with back seats...not sure which one to go with? I currently drive a 992.1 GT3
I would say go with the 3 RS since you’ve already been there done that with the GT3. The back seat option is awesome though for the .2 touring
yeah...can't argue that!...I have kids as well so the backseat for the touring would be nice..

I think the new GT3 gets the current 991.2 GT3RS engine. So maybe they'll keep the engine the same, make the gearbox update plus more aero.

Touring and Spyder combo is epic! This is my only fun car at the moment, I daily a pickup. Would love to add something next year.
