Look at Crystal Bridges x Smarthistory blessing me with this hella deep and touching video today. 🥺❤ I think about connectedness: I'm connected to you, we're connected to each other, nature connects with our spirits, our humanity connects us all. So beautiful. It made me think of how I've been forcing myself to stand outside and work on my perma-tan these past few days. I often get lonely and frustrated when I'm inside all day, which is entirely too often, but when I'm alone in nature, I don't feel that way anymore... Love this one too. I'll be sharing it.
friendship is the only thing that gives life meaning ... purpose that we are in this journey together, as all is mostly unknown, and the only direct relation we can have, anything close to understanding, is with another human /// what we are doing to nature is another story, in that we are encasing the earth in concrete, steel, and glass , and in so leaving a large trace, a disgrace ... we've only begun to understand our place /// each life is lived on a precipice, so find joy
Beautiful and fascinating! I wonder how common the blasted tree was in Hudson River School paintings in general, or was it only Cole? I know of an unsigned HRS painting with a prominent dead tree in the foreground.
Once again so appreciate your presentation…..and the chance to respond to others who have commented
