It is impossible to not think. What Papaji and Ramana teach is to inquire where the thought I comes from. Or acknowledge the thought but do not entertain it. In other words allow your thoughts to come and go like clouds in the sky without attempt to catch them, allow them to pass.
Well that is not quite true. You can keep quiet and not to think all the time, you can use thought when you need it for daily life. To do that you have to be aware, listen and observe what the thought is doing to you and the brain then when the thought has understood it stops completely. Another example is when you listen to your favorite song or looking at the beauty of the sunset. Do you think then or are you completely attentive and observe? So you see, you only think when you are inattentive. Infinite love
