      It is impossible to not think. What Papaji and Ramana teach is to inquire where the thought I comes from. Or acknowledge the thought but do not entertain it. In other words allow your thoughts to come and go like clouds in the sky without attempt to catch them, allow them to pass.

      Well that is not quite true. You can keep quiet and not to think all the time, you can use thought when you need it for daily life. To do that you have to be aware, listen and observe what the thought is doing to you and the brain then when the thought has understood it stops completely. Another example is when you listen to your favorite song or looking at the beauty of the sunset. Do you think then or are you completely attentive and observe? So you see, you only think when you are inattentive.

      Self Inquiry isn’t meant to get answers my friend.
      Self Inquiry is meant to make answer disappear.
      It’s intended to help us realize that the mind does not exist without Self. It is intended to trace the “I” back to its source

      Stay with it, find out your real fear , behind that superficial thinking. Give total attention to your fear and observe it like it is part of you , no thinking just listen observe like you do with your favorite song. See what happens.
