I really hope Ableton makes an update to Tension and Collision with this kind of mod matrix and dual VCO's so we can go deeper in the physical modelling territory
1. So they did add chance/probability grouping afterall????? ....Awesome! 2. How does Meld fundamentally differ from Wavetable? ....I can't see a significant difference. 3. Roar looks wicked though.... Can't wait to get my hands on that. Having the multi-band and mod matrix is too sweet!
2: macro oscillators with all sorts of different functionality, deeper modulation (including all sorts of crossmod between the two voices), freakier filters including physmod-style resonators, pretty innovative way of handling unison spreads. OH, and tons of Scale Aware elements, including the envelopes - yes, you can make an envelope pitch drop that is in-key now...(it's insane)
Roar is really good but the rest of Live 12 is 'meh' in my opinion. Won't be upgrading. I did download the trial and felt the midi tools have been overhyped as has Meld. I will say that Live 12 standard is pretty good value if you don't already have Live 11.
So excited to watch this later - but please do an entire series on meld and roar, make a song like you said at the start!
All the windows open, Roar feedback on max…that spaceship was flying 🚀 😂 Groovy.
Meld is mint. Every time I use it, I make something unexpected but slamming.
When I was going through the Meld presets, the drum sounds were definitely the best of the bunch.
Ned’s ideas meld my brain

You can actually do physmod in Meld already, if you hadn't seen that already. It's good fun - two of the filters are resonators.
@@machinate thanks for the tip, having had enough time with Meld yet. but Tension still needs a major update though, in my opinion.
You know we all want a 2 hour video of Roar getting the Ned treatment.

You knew what you were doing with that thumbnail 🤣
good stuff!
This fxcker is always good stuff.
Group Notes (play all) to make a probability group
😢😢my cpu don't support Avx2 so 12 is not happening but I'm interested to see what 12 can do cheers Ned looking forward to the next break video
Ned, maybe I'm fool and I don't understand anything, but isn't there a gap of a few milliseconds between the tone of the snare and the noise?
Neld Rush
yipee
