it's seriously like they throw any old tat together and hope that no one will notice with things like pop ups saying its a bus, or announcement saying please leave the bus... what would it have took to record a new announcement or change a pop up text in game. The one thing with this game is its sloppy and they just throw it together and expect you to pay top money for it. Its been so buggy, i really hope they dont do a bus sim 2024 or anything along them lines. For its age OMSI is just still putting all these games to shame, and Game developers nowadays have some great tech and engines to put their games on and they put out this and want £30 for it and then another £15 for the tram add on. Game developers really need to up their game, just throwing out games and not even doing the basic of checks is just dismal and the gamers are paying the price for it with substandard games. Its a No! from me!
Meow Francesca, greetings from Switzerland to Italy and the UK! Yes, I agree about the simple things that wouldn't cost much to make the game a bit more sirius. But then again, it's a rather cheap game overall, and I honestly haven't driven a single tram in the public version because it's a Bus Simulator for a reason and I'll keep driving busses only. :)
Absolutely agree with you Francesca! You've hit the nail on the head. The people who made OMSI were bus enthusiasts, and you can tell from the game that they are. I know for instance the two chaps from Studio Polygon are also massive transport enthusiasts hence their products are bob on. Unfortunately you can see the people making this particular game just aren't transport enthusiasts... otherwise the products would be so much better.
Oh dear, here we go again. I've been waiting for this (video, not addon). Without even watching yet, I can already imagine how it's going to be, based on the steam reviews.
Okay, well, it was in every way just as terrible as I've expected. But at least with this game you know what you're getting. As you like to say, quality as usual.
Sat trying to get my head around who this DLC is actually for. Tram enthusiasts have better options, there's still the contrast of European machines on a North American map, Bus Enthusiasts probably won't enjoy it either, and the sounds are just laziness. I really wanted to like this game, as OMSI is a pain to get up and running on my PC, but I always feel frustrated that it could be so much better than it actually is.
Hey, joe back for my monthly check in with your channel. I’m happy to see that you’re still doing great. Keep up the great work, especially with the bus simulator, and see you next month.😁
Something is very fishy where's the wire for the tram?🤔🧐🤨 Oh well I'm confused anyway there are no wires in this tram area maybe I'll figure this out later
@JoeDobson: These trams are part of a blueprint of a side series to Bus Simulator called Tram Simulator. It is a game where you have 6 different models of trams you can buy and do basically what a tram will do in this DLC. It will be free to anyone who owns the Offical tram DLC or has the season pass but will have to wait until spring for its release
Imo the school bus extension is way more worth it. Just driving on tracks is not that appealing. Btw. if someone wants to play a more realistic tram simulator on PC or console should look for Tram Sim Vienna or Munich
It is a weird one, nice to have in the season pass (and price-wise w/ the school bus and Ebusco DLC is the only sensible purchase route compared to the individual purchase price of each DLC) and set them up for the purposes of more AI, but uh... as someone who generally likes this game even I think it isn't well done, and there are a few things that seemed odd: the Citaro sounds, the "please leave the bus" and various other unchanged aspects. I can't imagine using a wheel for this though, keyboard or controller is far easier 😂 But I think the target demographic for the DLC is people who own the season pass, because I really can't see the appeal as a standalone item (you'd just get TramSim surely) or people who happen to have bus sim and are just curious about seeing trams about. Oh, and don't forget the entire spin-off game that you get by owning this DLC, Tram Sim Urban Transit, which is basically the DLC but with 6 trams and more tram tracks added to the map, and the buses removed. At least that's free I guess.
@@kodua1990 Yes it's pretty much the same, except that Urban Transit will be a standalone game, which means that you don't have to own Bus Sim 21 to play it
@@francescaknightYT I am a beta tester, but I have to admit, I focused my testing on the bus builds only. When the trams were released internally, I said openly that I won't be doing any tram content on my channel when it's meant to be a bus simulator. The new tram simulator is another story, that's where you're supposed to drive trams, but not in the bus game. :)
So I had purchased the tram DLC before seeing this video and I can confirm I’ve got the refund for it. What a load of absolute garbage from people that call themselves developers! It is honestly crazy how awful it actually was!!
Better in interactibility, simulation and looks. They may have their issues themselves but bus sim has been a cash grab since the 2018 edition. They've been focusing more and more on getting money (Like DTG) and focusing less on realism or in the case of an arcady game like this: Playability. Being an arcade sim game does not mean you can throw all aspects of reality out the window and have an EU tram in the US or bad sound design. If we throw everything out the window then why not have a flying bus? Why not just be able to have a 10000hp engine? I'm looking for a civilized discussion if you're willing to do so. @@hamfan4449
This game looks so goofy. Curbs are overly big, everything looks like a mixture of cartoon/fortnite, the colors are so off, and no attention to detail at all by the devs. I hope that the devs of The Bus keep working hard on their product, because Astragon has a running record of publishing games that look, feel, and sound so bad just to grab quick cash from people because nobody else makes simulators like the ones they release.
As Joe guessed, even with seaside map this is even shorter in content than the school bus DLC. So good job the standalone game was included.
u can tell were from the same neck of the woods were the chuff has that gone love it

I think the bus being a early access game is a BIG change in bus simming

"Are you having a laugh?" I sure am lol
Hilarious how the passengers just take their change through the window
Thank you for great review. Yes, tram extension is rediculous, but their bus simulator is also very away from simulator game.

The red colour scheme of the tram makes it looks like San Diego’s Trolley
They are making a Tram Sim game as well as this DLC, why would you do both? Oh Astragon...
They proberly testing the brilliant realistic features out on bus sim 😂😂

Opening the controls menu to find the hide UI option? surely its in display settings lol
I think if you used a contoller it would be easier to control

Good video.
Get that wheel outta here. Hotfix is comin soon I'm going to hold out. Keyboard/Controller is the way to go.

They'd better hold on tight Dean! :D
😂😂😂😂
Cool tram 2 model
Well I was playing yesterday and i did not know about this I would buy this dlc if I didn't put the class 385 and wait for citydriver to go on ps 5
In Angel Shores, the left side doors are useless.

What mode did he used in game?
Wow this game looks so fun! (If you can't tell I'm being sarcastic)
Really recommend
Bought the season pass just for this
How do we get money for the train ?
They're still sending you codes? After this whole series? Wild
Also: this looks bloody awful
I laughed when Joe said they’d sent him it for free 😂 with all joe’s criticisms they still gave it to him!

I've heard they're making an all new tram simulator next year.
Tram urban tramsit near end of the year
By what i can see on steam it's literally a resale of bus sim 21 but you can only drive these awful trams in angel shores. Certainly not all new...
Yes I believe it's coming out in December RoadandRailStudios :D
Well it's not a new simulator. It takes place in Angel Shores again, so same map, everything same like in bus sim 21
Not even overhead wires? C'mon
When is omsi2 coming back
It’s so frustrating, I don’t have the finance to buy a gaming laptop and do all my gaming on my PS5. It’s only decent Bus Sim on the console.
Trust me it's not much better in PC, I personally play the OMSI series bus simulators, apparently they hold up better than these new games ironically.
think ill just stick too the buses
It looks like a game made for kids on a phone!
Why is Omsi better than these bus games 💀
