Thanks Terry for showing how to do this. And I use painter tape all the time not only for a seam guidance but to help pick up my little loose threads that seems to get all over the place.

I hate it when my sashings are slightly off! This technique would definitely work. It is a lot of extra work and time but it will be so worth it to have all the seams straight in line. Thanks!
