- SCP-001 is a Yesod Class anomaly also known as God's Blind Spot.
SCP 001 is an irregularly-shaped volume of space, approximately 65,000 cubic meters in volume inclusive of space both above and below the original ground level, located in the Sinai Peninsula desert.
SCP001 is distinguished as the only known natural location on Earth with absolute zero ambient Akiva radiation.
As a consequence of SCP-001’s properties, the natural progression of degeneration or termination of Homo sapiens cognitive function and organic functionality are suspended while the Homo sapiens subject in question remains within the limits of SCP-001. Put another way, subject to certain limitations, human death does not occur within SCP-001.

I love how the Foundation used human subjects before animal ones in testing the immortality theory in the site. The Ethics Committee must've loved that.

He has already shown some limitations and cannot flat out do ANYTHING (barring contradictions in logic).

Fun fact to those a bit new: The answer to whether the SCP Foundation is attempting to hide something or due to the fact that it was before their current naming system was in place, making them some of the first SCPs, is technically both. One of the most famous SCPs, which most of the details of this SCP require level 5 clearance, is a version of SCP-001 which details the first strange artifacts that the SCP Foundation came across, one of which being SCP-018. It is, by his own account, the first SCP, and the story of how 05-1 founded the SCP Foundation. Codename: 'Bright'

I absolutely LOVE the logic of Akiva waves and Humes. That would be a really good worldbuilding power system in an anime.
I liked the idea that the council would set up shop at that spot but it's scary to me that after many decades later, if you accidentally walk out that area or it disappears for some reason, you immediately begin aging and probably turn to dust at that point.

It's quite helpful, look at it from before they existed to now, D-Class was abused, and SCP’s neglected. They have saved the Foundation's hides.
So here’s a theory. You know that one time, when SCP-682 met the gate guardian, and it said that the gate guardian “wasnt euriel or whatever. Or that it was a “faker”? A “pretender”? Well, what if the SCP foundation measured the akiva radiation around the gate guardian, and then they could see if it was actually “euriel”. And if it IS a faker, then why don’t they use akiva radiation to fight it off. Or why don’t they use akiva radiation to kill SCP-682?
682's essentially unkillable, able to render himself immune or otherwise have a countermeasure to any and every attempt to kill it. Until a being capable of destroying 682's true form PERMANENTLY and ABSOLUTELY is discovered, 682 will remain unkillable for all intents and purposes.

akiva radiation is apart of one SCP-001 theory while gate guardian is another theory. Its possible they both exist in the same canon but they most likely dont since I don't think the two conflict with each other. Like SCP 343 is not actually God in the canon of SCP-001 God's Blind Spot.

I believe that it’s the desert where Moses and the Israelites got lost in for 40 years. Makes sense if you think about it: they could’ve been able to survive in the desert without any food or water, and maybe they got lost because God couldn’t contact them there.

I think the primary function of this particular scp 001 is to maintain balance in the number of scp formed or made.
I think high kiva radiation leads to decrease in the number of scp formed and low kiva radiation leads to increase in number of scp.
So, we can neutralize all scp in the scp universe if we spread faith and this will result in high kiva radiation.
The high radiation may even destroy or kill all the scp in the scp universe.

I asked my friend what his favorite scp was, and when i told him mine, i said my favorite was 001. You never know a death glare until you say that.
Learning about every different scp 001 makes me realize that the scp lore can potentially become never ending. Making it the worlds longest storybook haha

I believe this site could be some kind of remnant of a long destroyed "real" Garden of Eden. Basically the Gate Guardian isn't guarding the real one. The real one is destroyed, but the area still has that same effect as it did when it was a lush, green, and peaceful garden.
If this site is the real 001 then the gate guardian doesn’t exist. All of the 001s are just proposals so only 1 of them exists.

For instance, The Way It Ends (part of the djkaktus's Ouroboros Proposal, which is itself four loosely connected 001 proposals) mentions the Gate Guardian, and I. H. Packman's 001 Proposal "Story of Your Life" builds off of Swann's 001 Proposal "The Database" and confirms that the Broken God, the Gate Guardian, and Gear's 001 Proposal "The Prototype" all exist in the Sloth's Pit canon.
But it couldn't be said that, that place is 100% garden of eden and since there he is the guardian who guards the place. No one could ever really set foot within that site so it isn't 100% the garden of even and besides the God said himself that no matter how would you like to dig in you will never know everything. Just imagine we only have 5% of knowledge about the ocean, what's more if it is about unexplainable things such as God himself.

They also use something to stay young. Especially since they know what happens after death. There's an scp, but forgot for now. Basically, after death, you are still conscious. Except that you feel your body rotting and being eaten by worms and stuff. Something so horrible that the O5 council doesn't want to go through it. An Ex member of the council died of a stroke, was resurrected by the others, and given the information. This ex member went to scp 106 and made a deal, that he prefers to be tortured by 106 forever than to go through death again.

I think this my new favorite SCP
I've always thought the various 001's were because the true anomaly depends on certainty. Like if so many people were certain what it was then it would become that thing so the multiple 001's act as an uncertainty filter keeping it abstract rather than corporeal. For added uncertainty some of the 001's are real objects in containment and some are completely made up. Just my theory though.

The out-of-universe reason why there's multiple proposals is because having the title of SCP-001 is way too important to be given to some random thing. So they give it to a bunch of highly-liked concepts instead and people can pick which they think is true. There's no way to troll and make multiple SCPs for an entry. They're too strict for that

I haven't paid attention to SCP since like 2010, so I don't know a lot of the newer ones or the characters/storylines. The people who started the site couldn't decide which one to name 001 so they just had more than one.

I feel like since SCP 001 is the scp foundation's first ever anomaly, they should be something really simple and not something world ending. Something like scp 113 or 500. Considering the mtf was created later on way after 096's breach. They don't really understand the concept of "Dangerous, sentient anomalies" yet.
