The 'i" there actually stands for Intel. Because there is another version of this laptop called Legion 7, without the "i" that uses AMD processor, Intel's rival processor. Also the 7i also comes in Intel i9. :)

If you are going to game, 7i seems to do a tad bit better (like just a bit more) than the 7. However, 7 has better battery life than the 7i, I belive you can squeeze out an extra 1.5 hours out of it. So, are you gamer who will always play while plugged in? Or will you be taking the laptop around and do your college work and prefer longer battery life? That's entirely up to you. I use my macbook for work which I carry around with me. And I game on the 7i, which always sits at home plugged in.
I was gonna do house chores and stuff and was on the verge of giving up but watching the computer run my favorite game ON SO MUCH FPS encourages me more. thanks because of you I have a shot at getting this laptop

Damn, Lenovo has been pumping out some nice beasts. I currently have the Lenovo Legion 5i with the GTX 1660 Ti and it's still a beast even in 2021! I was able to play Horizon Zero Dawn and Death Stranding on Max settings and getting an average of 60-80 frames. Would love to upgrade to a beaast like this one day!
@Steve absolutely dude! It comes with 16GBs DDR4 of ram and the 1660ti has 6GB of dedicated ram. It’s a beast! I switched out the battery that came with it to a bigger one so I have more battery life on the go for when I wanna edit videos or do some light gaming. I got mine on sale for under $1000! Right now they’re a bit expensive so if you have the cash just go with a more recent model

I like the relaxing end alot cause even when he is sponsored, he stills plays games correctly, with high settings, modern games, and do a good presentation of the product while being silent, unlike alot of other reviewers that play super old games, without showing settings, that play videogames like shit even tho they are in the gaming department all while being super loud about it.

Also legion 5 pro felt heavier than mine , but interestingly the 300 watt adapter is only slighty heavier than my 230 watt power brick just like gtx 1650 and 1650 ti gap
I bought this laptop 3 months ago it’s my first ever gaming laptop and I’m loving it I travel a lot with my union job I do pipe welding and being able to take this to hotels and play some cod zombie and some warzone with the boys and being able to do all my task while having crazy fast loading times and graphics is awesome I love it so much it is a life saver I recommend this to anyone who travels alot it

What about CpU overheating? Usually gaming laptops drop tons of fps when Cpu hits 100 C degrees. On paper this is a beast but overheating is an forever issue in laptops.

Legion has one of the best cooling. But the most top tier is MSI which has phase change liquid metal.
