I think she was the most beautiful and talented actress ever to grace the silver screen. It is terribly sad; she was ill and left this world much to young. She still remains a force on screen..
Forever and ever your fan, Vivien Leigh! A great loss to the world when you left too soon. Hope you live for all eternity through your wonderful films!
Vivien Leigh....was so classically...... beautiful!!! I have no words to describe her except to......say I think .......she was the most beautiful , woman I have ever seen!!! Her eyes were always full of so much emotion!! It would be hard to describe such a genuine beauty...as she was!!! 🌹
There will never be another one like her!The most beautiful woman who ever steped on this ground of ours! She's the type of woman I've waited my entire life, and that's why I'll always remain single!I will carry her in my heart wherever my life guides my steps...no matter what!Who knows...maybe in the after life I will get to know her in heaven...maybe I will have those beautiful eyes in front of my eyes which are always hungry for her unique and unforgotten beauty!!!
Loved Vivien Leigh as Scarlett, but my favourite movie with her was Waterloo Bridge, in fact I think it's my all time favourite. So romantic and tragic.
I have read many accounts from people who either knew or met Vivien Leagh and they all say that she was breathtakingly beautiful in real life and the camera never did her justice. They all say that as soon as they took their eyes off her they had to look at her again and then again. Most say she had the most striking flawless white skin and jet black hair and lashes with very pale grey-green eyes. But what a talent.
Leigh had all the traits to be an icon: beauty, charm, skills. The film industry has produced many gorgeous, iconic ladies. I could list 50. Whomever is #1 depends entirely upon the beholder. It's a matter of favourites. Certainly, the stars of today cannot hold a candle to the stars of yesteryear. My favourite icon is Rita Hayworth.
Shakespeare wouldn't have been able to put the words together to adequately describe her. Too beautiful and entirely to complex a woman. How great it would be to hear him try. Ugh, why are all the greats gone?
They say Elizebeth Taylor was the greatest beauty. I would say after Vivien she was. This Woman had such exquisite beauty it just takes your breath away.
All but Elizabeth Taylor was one of our own! They say Vivian was taken over by that Scarlett character and the demons that went with it. She was not moral, but I hope she found Christ in the end
beautiful clip. a splendid job. i can see the love you have for her. she would be honored. she took her pictures being taken very seriously. thank you. wonderful. and beautiful music.
they say in person she was even more stunning. and that her eyes were extraordinarily dazzling. there is a photo of her soon before she died, in a page cut. a fan asked her for a photo and she said she wasnt ready and to come back tomorrow. he did and it is a beautiful photo. get it! because its great to see her beauty as an older woman too. also, in the scarlett scene with mammy i love the way she says "Oh, creepers," with so much sheer agitation about the peticoat!! she was wonderful. also, in her 50"s she appeared on ed sullivan dancing, and beautiful. in boarding school, she was the only atudent who rook ballet. it paid off...
Wonderful Vivien: She was the Most Beautiful and Greatest Actress of all time. She was the same age as My Mother. Both of them married a Crumb their 2nd time. They Deserved Better. Thanks for posting.
dick12235 . Dear Heavens! You are extremely uniformed. Olivier was the love of Viviene's llfe and vice versa. Olivier was in no stretch of the imagination bad to Vivienne. He had to leave for.his survival. She would attack him physically when her psychosis stirred up. and vivienne was much better off with jack merival in the ending stage of her life because he would be extremely attentive. Still, the Olivier-Leigh coupledom was one of the greatest.
Brenda Anne Her name is spelled VIVIEN. If you know so much about her how can you not spell her name correctly ?! It’s in huge letters on all her movies!!!!!
There are photos of Vivien Leigh when she had left her first marriage and starred in Romeo and Juliet with Olivier in Elsinore Castle. Some of the photos of Vivien are out of this world! Hope you can find them!
Anche lei, indubbiamente, era dotata di un fascino particolarmente attraente, come le altre dive di Hollywood. Tanto semplice e misteriosa. Sensuale e gradevole la sua marcata femminilità. Tanto bella, una dea del cinema Americano. Ci manca tanto. Grazie Monique.
But they did have "retouching". Photographers could eliminate a pimple, wrinkle, or other flaw while developing the pictures. They also had different lenses for cameras to soften the images, both moving and still pictures.
One of the half dozen or so UNquestionable Greatest actresses of English Language cinema for thirty years 1937-1967, along with Deborah Kerr, Audrey Hepburn(period 1952-1977), Joanne Woodward(period 1956-1993), Vanessa Redgrave(1964-20010), Geraldine Page(1958-1988), Bette Davis(1933-1964), a Masterpiece of an Actress who suffered terribly as most GREAT Sublime artists do. God Bless Vivien Leigh, r.i.p. with the angels.

No wonder actor David Niven once said in an interview that"'She was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, outside of an art gallery " People also commented that she was more beautiful in the flesh than she was on screen/photographs. Definitely a beautiful,, and talented actress in my humble opinion too. R.I.P. Vivien.🙏
If most women were put on a pedestal like these women, a lot of people would say they are the most beautiful. There seems to be a high price to be famous
She has such a different look in each photo. I wonder where and when these publicity shots were taken. I think many make her look too tough. A more natural and smiling photo was my favorite.
Monique (emboldened by your response to my responses), I'd just like to mention that I painted two portraits of Vivien as Scarlett O'Hara and was included in the book Scarlett's Women written by Helen Taylor of Bristol University. Many thanks again for your lovely videos.
Vivien was left alone in this crazy works at 6 years old... No one worried about her or cared about her her parents dumped her in a boarding school (orphanage) at 6.... Horrifying
I do to. What I've read about her was that she was very kind and generous to her friends. And after she her mental health affected her, when she was back to her self, she sought out how she had acted to others so she could apologise and make amends. That is a great lady.

UNREAL BEAUTY. BEAUTY OUT OF THIS WORLD. STRAIGHT IN MY FAVORITES.
Vivien was an angel from heaven...so beautiful, so flawless, and so talented. The most beautiful woman in the world.
Vivien was, in my opinion, the most beautiful actress in cinema. She is my favourite. Thank you for the comment.

Mary Cull Taylor is very gaudy, she can't compare with Vivian Leigh at all !

God, she really was perfection.
Breath taking how beautiful she was.
Bleached blondes have nothing to a really beautiful brunette. Vivien was so beautiful.
Marilyn Monroe was wonderfully beautiful as well. Beauty is about proportions and forms, not a hair color
@@ОльгаНиколаева-к6щ Marilyn was a sex symbol. In my opinion she was not 'beautiful'. I'll admit I don't go for blondes.

No photoshop back then.
I think some photos may have been colourized but that is her natural figure and features certainly.
But they did have "retouching". Photographers could eliminate a pimple, wrinkle, or other flaw while developing the pictures.
They also had different lenses for cameras to soften the images, both moving and still pictures.

Interesting, that Vivien Leigh, Jean Simmons, and Elizabeth Taylor. Three of the most beautiful women actresses. Were originally from Britain.
Well Elizabeth was actually born in England to American parents. So originally she is an American born in England.
Vivien Leigh and Grace Kelly ... the two most beautiful women born in the world .
If most women were put on a pedestal like these women, a lot of people would say they are the most beautiful. There seems to be a high price to be famous
Vivien Leigh, Grace Kelly and Natalie Wood were such beautiful women and all died too young.

Vivien was exquisite, a fey
You could take Vivienne Leigh and Jean Simmons for sisters.
Both were very beautiful women.
Vivien, Hedy and Elizabeth Taylor. Gorgeous beyond belief, but, don't ask me to put them in order. I sure miss them. Thank you, Monique.
The original piece is called Moonlight Sonata (Mondscheinsonate) by Ludwig van Beethoven. This is a pop version of it.
A very good description.
