Today, I'm taking you through a pretty personal journey-what my life has been like since I lost my job two weeks ago. I've been leaning heavily into my wellness routines, reflecting on my experience, spending quiet moments with God, and just trying out new things. There's been lots of coffee shop talks and lunches with friends, plus a bit of retail therapy.

I'm at a point where I'm ready to walk away from my current job. I've buried 3 family members 2 months apart & the job doesn’t care. I am emotionally broken.

Girl!! Now look, nobody told you to come on RUclips and bless the people like this!! I was forced to resign from a role I worked for 4 years. Worked in Covid (healthcare),poured my soul into my position. But God told me a year ago to make my exit and go back to working for myself. I was like who? And lose this salary? Not I. But June 12th, it was forced upon me. Yet, there are things you only can learn through a storm. I pray you find strength as you navigate this season and that joy is a mainstay through it all. the algorithm did its thing because im currently in between blessings. i had to quit a toxic job and now i just feel like im back at square one. im going to college for the very first time at 25 because the military experience i thought would carry me ain’t hitting!! 😂

I was fired on March 23, 2023 from a corporate/manufacturing job that I had been at for 9 years. October 2023 would have been my 10 year anniversary. I was at a place where I was ready to leave, the environment was no longer conducive to my mental/spiritual well being, and I felt like I was on a hampster wheel. Similar situation as yours in regard to them having ammunition to pull the trigger before I did. Sadly, I had new “leadership” that wanted me gone and won that fight… because I was not willing to fight back. I prayed for God to take me out of that situation and I did not know how it would transpire… being fired was not the ideal way of separation but the ends justify the means when the Lord is involved.
Nonetheless, I have been on a “sabbatical” up until now. I am currently looking for another job… but the year and a half was needed to reevaluate and replenish what I lost from being at a life draining company for almost a decade. Pouring into myself, my education, and my faith. While I have fear about the future… and sometimes struggle with depression (something I’ve struggled with most of my life)… leaning into my faith has helped me endure this storm. Psalms 34:4
I’m still in a storm and waiting for it to pass because I have not reached a place of “normalcy” yet… but it will pass… as will yours. Praying for you and your situations. I have never seen your videos or heard of you until today… but you spoke to me and I don’t think it’s a mistake that this video popped up. 💕

Jordyn, thank you for vulnerably sharing your mental processing of disappointment. It’s very relatable as an introverted person living in an extroverted world - interestingly enough, disappointment is God’s way of pulling us closer to him primarily, yet we prolong it because of a natural flow of the world of escapism (i.e. trips, outings, busyness). Hearing you let me know you are set apart, we are set apart, and should allow the disappointment to inform how special we are to the Father. Blessings to you 💕
I totally agree and that’s what I was trying to communicate in the first sit down. Escapism is very subtle yet it’s still a way of putting our confidence, hope, and rest in something else other than Jesus. It’s a socially acceptable idol that must be torn down in all of our lives.

It was when you said “SURRENDER”, I knew this message was all the way for me. I’m an RN and tonight is my last night shift at this job I’ve been with for almost two years. I wasn’t fired, but my supervisor pretty much gave my hours to another nurse on this new schedule. So, this week I’ll be spending time with God also & seeking HIS wisdom on my next steps, because I have no idea what I need to do. This change came out of no where DYHM. I work PRN, which means as needed, however I’ve worked a set schedule with a coworker for the last year because at this particular hospital we work in pairs. Long story short, I’ve never seen you before on RUclips, but I know it’s for the message that God has for me tonight. You just gained a new follower & thanks so much for your obedience and prayer♥️

God always knows what's best for us. I was laid off from a job that I was on for 10 years and it was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I didn't see it at the time but after I prayed and calmed down, I saw what God was doing for me. I was relieved and moved on to bigger and better. I have peace of mind and my life is better than before. Take it one day at a time. God's blessings.
God is so good because he allowed your video to come through my algorithm. Your video was so needed as to the reminder of Gods word and his grace. Yes I just subscribed and will be visiting many of your videos to get to know you more.

Great vlog! I can definitely relate I’ve experienced being laid down off twice in the past two years . The first lay off was after returning from bereavement from losing my dad. Lean on Jesus but with job loss it is a grieving process . You’ll get through this.

Whew!! The way this just showed up on my timeline. This vlog was definitely God sent. I’ve been going through postpartum depression (it comes & goes). Your video has popped up and spoken to me purely. Let me tell you, I have NEVER gone through being fired or laid off but here I am and it’s been mind-boggling. I enjoy what I do but the company isn’t the best and now it is being “run-off”. Ask that to say, the Lord is definitely using your journey to speak to others (even if it’s just one - me). This might feel like a time of confusion and shaking your identity but I want to tell you that your identity resides in HIM alone. Your job, relationship, education etc does not truly define you.
