I have allowed the Lord to search me I have meaningfully examined my own ways I acknowledge that I have fallen short of the Glory of GOD but my hope is not in my own ability to change my hope is in the salvation and the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. With this acknowledgment I confess to you GOD that I am wrong. I repent of my unrighteousness. I ask for forgiveness because your word says you are faithful and just to forgive me. Act out of who you are and not what I deserve. Remove my shame and reproach. Make me right and perfect everything concerning me. I plead the advocacy of Jesus’s blood to cleanse me, purify me and set me right again with you. I move forward with you today in Jesus name amen

So glad I found this channel! I just wrapped up a 50 something hour no food fast & loved the hard reset it gave me. I am super thankful for the process of rediscovering myself after years of subtle & non subtle self destruction.

@@jordyneturner I discovered that if I can abstain from food and resist cravings, the same can be applied to sex & alcohol! I learned my spirit is stronger than what I led myself to believe and renewal/course correction is always available to me. I felt a clear pathway to God!

@@jordyneturner The only specific thing I have on my mind is a deeper intimacy with God. For so long I've seen that as a thing of the past, a spiritual high I couldn't go back to. But He's been re-teaching me a lot over the past couple years, chief of which is to just abide in the simple truths. Trust and obey. Just be there, and be present. Let Him be the one to guide my footsteps,not me trying to control/know everything. Listen and obey the first time. That sort of thing. So where I'm at now, mentally and spiritually, I just want to receive. I'm not sure what to expect, but I know that it will be acheived through obedience, being humble, being still, and being thankful. Hopefully that makes sense.

Fasting and prayer benefits and purposes: seeking gods mercy. how we humble ourselves before god. Its a posture of humility. Gives spiritual focus and prayer. Engage with the spirit a lot more. Express devotion and a deep desire to be closer to us ( devolop intimacy with god). Intercession- seek his guidance and get his help in making decisions. The spirit of wisdom and revelation. Self examination of your thoughts, actions and motives so you can be specific in your prayers. Grow in self-control. Recieve the truth from the holy spirit about whete we are struggling, weak , or imbalanced with condeming ourselves. Discipline and beat the flash into submission. 3,6,21,40,2- 3
