The Heath Quartet joins the Elias for what is perhaps one of the composer’s finest achievements in the form of his early Octet, preceded by an almost contemporaneous piece in the shape of the First String Quintet; the Fourth Quartet, meanwhile, is a work of the composer’s adulthood, written in 1837.

Chamber music is underestimated. Just think about how long it has existed, Intimate music in homes and for a small public, for friends and other supporters. Nowadays often played on a big arena. In this change you must have s proper uptaking of the sound and I am glad this is the case in this uptaking!

Excelente.
