I have 3 crosses and praying hands and a bible and I ask God and Jesus for forgiveness for everything I did in life that's a sin, I pray sometimes and i also go to church and give money everytime I go and ask God and Jesus to bless me. But am I missing something? Is there anything else I can do to get god's blessing and get something that I want that I ask him for?
Hello! Thanks for your question. If you have asked Jesus to forgive you, now you just need to trust that he has forgiven you! Jesus promised to forgive those who ask him. Not only did he promise to forgive you, he has promised that you are a member of his family. You are blessed and favored as a child of God. I hope that helps!
Hello! I think that's a good dream. Jesus wants you to know that he died on the cross for your sins. The Bible says that God loves the world and gave his Son (Jesus), so that anyone who believes in him can have eternal life.
Hi RetroMasters! There is no significance to the color of the cross I'm holding. But apparently there is an anarchist black cross that has a fist on it. Thanks for your question!
Since the claims of the Christian God in the Bible are of a supernatural kind and we have no way to investigate or confirm if the supernatural even exists. Therefore no way to confirm if the Christian God (or any Gods) exists, who's rules are you breaking in order to believe that you're a sinner?
Dear Crazy Prayingmantis, Great point! You asked whose rules are we breaking to think we are sinners. Thank you for being consistent. Many people who do not believe in God still want to believe in an objective morality. But if there is no God, there is no such thing as good and bad, right or wrong. If I'm a cosmic accident, and you're a cosmic accident, then no one has the right to say that what I choose to do is bad or good. Some will argue, "But we have made rules to get along in society." You can make rules to get along in society, but no one has the moral authority to tell me that killing, raping, stealing, or anything else is "bad." If I consider my actions to benefit me, who can say it is "bad"? If we are cosmic accidents, we aren't sinners, because there is no such thing as sin. Thanks!
@@BreadofLifeChannel So you believe that God exists because you believe he's an objective moral lawgiver? Is God supernatural and exist outside of time and space or natural and exist within it?
Dear Crazy Prayingmantis, I'm just saying that our worldviews should be consistent. I'm saying that 7 billion cosmic accidents rallied together still can't claim one shred of moral authority to claim something is right or wrong, bad or good. And yet, everyone, despite their worldview seems to have an idea about what is right and wrong (though it varies depending on the culture). If there is no god, people should stop calling other people's choices bad or good, because there is no such thing. There are only many completely meaningless events and choices occurring all the time. I don't think our knowledge of good and evil proves there is a God, but it is a good indicator in that direction. We feel that our lives and our choices have meaning because they do have meaning. I believe God works both outside our material dimensions and within our material dimensions. And I believe that there is a spiritual dimension present within our material boundaries that we live largely unaware of. Thanks for your response. I would be happy to hear more of your thoughts on the topic.
Dear Crazy Prayingmantis, God does supernatural things, such as miracles. But I don't understand exactly what you mean by, "Is God supernatural?" How do you define supernatural? Thanks!
Aabsolutely no offence to you personally. But the cross only stands for evil. if you count the number of deaths/wars and other unspeakable act related to the cross and every single religious symbol. Hope you have a very nice day tho :)
Dear Royd Johnson, Thank you for sharing your perspective. Unfortunately, I can't argue with your point. Much evil has been done in the name of religion and under the sign of the cross. Thanks!
I don’t think using a cross as a religious symbol is a good thing as it bears an almost pagan undertone, rather you should follow the example of Jesus (peace be upon him) such as worshiping the one true God (Allah), abstaining from pork, circumcision (for men only) and growing a beard. That is a the way to follow Jesus (PBUH), I wonder which group of people currently follow the aforementioned practises...
Bread of Life you didn’t address how one should follow Jesus (peace be upon him). All Christians claim to follow Jesus (peace be upon him), yet you all eat pork, you follow a triune godhead, men don’t keep the beard nor circumcise. How can you relate to Jesus (peace be upon him) when you don’t even follow his traditions?
Dear Sali8two, The way one follows Jesus is to walk in love for God and love for people. The Bible says, "The kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit." (Romans 14:17) It also says, "Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation." (Galatians 6:15) And this is a little bit long, but I want to be thorough. Here is why we do not need to follow these traditions of no pork, circumcision, etc: From Colossians 2: 9For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. 11In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ, 12having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. 13When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. 15And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. 16Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ. 18Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind. 19They have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow. 20Since you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules: 21“Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”? 22These rules, which have to do with things that are all destined to perish with use, are based on merely human commands and teachings. 23Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence. Thanks for your comments! I hope this answer is helpful.
Bread of Life but all the quotes you provided are made by people other than Jesus (peace be upon him). He never came to abolish the Law, so why has it changed for you (e.g. the dietary laws)? For example, did Jesus (peace be upon him) consume pork? You really need to ponder over these
Dear Sali8two, Here is a quote from Jesus: Again Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen to me, everyone, and understand this. 15Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles them.” 17After he had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about this parable. 18“Are you so dull?” he asked. “Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? 19For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.) 20He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. 21For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come-sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. 23All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”
Sincerely, this didn't live up to the title. I've heard this explanation before and the explanation itself doesn't make sense to me unless I literally believe the words of genesis. I don't doubt your sincerity and to the extent that your mission is to spread love I wish you well.
