    You missed the Coptic or Ethiopian cross. It's a very important symbol of Christianity in Africa.

    Solid video dude! Runs through the different ones a little too quickly for my taste, wish there were more info and images, but excellent for a quick overview to increase cross literacy!

    Apropos Alsace-Lorraine, the less partisan story: "Alsace is part of France, its borders have not always been clear. The region has been passed between French and German control several times since 1681, when Strasbourg was conquered by French forces. As a result, Alsatian culture is a unique mix of French and German influences."

    Slovakia
    edit
    The territory of present-day Slovakia was an integral part of the Kingdom of Hungary from the 10th century until the Treaty of Trianon in 1920. Many of its cities gained privileges and coats of arms from the Hungarian kings, often containing the kings' own coat of arms.

    The ankh was before all that shit you showed yo hand when u said the swastika was cross though

    • @SymbolSage
      @SymbolSage  2 года назад +4

      Hi Tavoris - thanks for stopping by. The crosses on this list aren't in chronological order - you'll find the Ankh also included. The swastika is a cross - it has two arms that cross at the center - and in the East, it's still considered a sacred symbol. However, as we've mentioned, the Nazi association has tainted this ancient symbol.
