Hi, thanks for the video. I bought this Beelink Mini PC, Mini S12 Pro Intel 12th N100 and installed proxmox v8.1.3, installed truenas, pihole and openwrt. On PVE console on lspci I could see "00:14.3 Network controller [0280]: Intel Corporation CNVi: Wi-Fi [8086:54f0] DeviceName: Onboard - Ethernet Subsystem: Intel Corporation CNVi: Wi-Fi [8086:0244] Kernel driver in use: iwlwifi Kernel modules: iwlwifi" but under System>network I see name=wlo1, type=unknown, no, no, no. I tried updated kmod-iwlwifi, installed even Bluetooth drives but no luck. I'm in the same situation as you were until you found wireless option under luci. Tried wget, dpkg days of googling but no luck. I think the issue is PVE isn't detecting wifi card. Any input will be appreciated
Yup, I can see that OpenWRT and pfSense become a trend nowadays. It is glad that people still can make use of their old hardware instead of throwing them in the warehouse.
I did all of this and my phone gets connected and an IP... but it only stays connected for about 20 seconds and then they disconnect. Am I missing something?
@@VanTechCorner omg. Whre u come from bro. I have 1 question. I have raspberry pi 4 and flash it to openwrt. Can I use external tp link wireless USB adapter to got Internet. The built in 5ghz raspberry 4 is not high gain. Btw I didn't have usb to lan.
Hello, this network adapter has only 1 radio, so you need to select either AC or bgn mode, just like the wireless module on the Raspberry Pi 4. If you have more info, please let me know.
@@VanTechCorner Wow, I see. I didn't see from the datasheet it is not support 2 or more radios. any recommendation of network adapter that support 2 radios?
Hi, I've got OpenWRT x86 with wireless Atheros WPEA-121N which has AR9382 inside but I cannot set it up as Access Point. I have installed ath9k but in Network -> Wireless I can see "Generic MAC80211 802.11an" so I guess something is missing, also cannot setup encryption like WPA2 even though in openwrt 21.02.3 already was installed the required hostapd-common. I can see plenty of wifi when I press on "scan" button. iw list - shows that card is AP and even Mesh, but for some reason when starting "SSID: OpenWrt | Mode: Master" it says "Wireless is not associated" From one of your movies I know that Radio0 should show "Atheros something" but it's not. Do you know what could be missing?
@@VanTechCorner I have found the answer. Not sure if this is only for OpenWRT 21.02.3 as I'm new to this software, but someone advised me to just install wpad-wolfssl or wpad-openssl. I have installed wpad-wolfssl and after reboot voila, I can use AP without or with encryption. Before it was not possible. Not sure why thought, but it works :)
can this card run both 24ghz and 5ghz together?
谢谢,学习了

Openwrt,a trendy SDN builder.

Could you please link to all the big router hardware used in this video in the description. Which is it? Thanks
You just need to search for "Openwrt table of hardware" aka TOH
Can you do tutorial about mesh setup on Openwrt.
Hey, sure I am looking on it. Actually it's roaming, not mesh xD
intel AX201 211 OPENWRT????
What application did you use to test the wifi speed?
Hi, I use speedtest (to test the internet connection, for file copy from NAS to PC, and iperf3).
I did all of this and my phone gets connected and an IP... but it only stays connected for about 20 seconds and then they disconnect. Am I missing something?
Hi, can you go to System Log and see what is going on with the wireless interface?
Bro. Are u from Malaysia?
Hi bro, I used to stay in Malaysia for 3 years :D

Hi, it is a routerboard from Aliexpress. The PC is Intel D525 with 2GB of RAM.

Great video, but that terminal is so small it’s unreadable. Haha
Indeed it is! I have change font size in my recent videos. You can also find detail guide on the video description.
hy what about rtl8811cu usb wifi github.com/ProKn1fe/RTL8811CU_OpenWRT how to install in openwrt?
Go to the Software center and install "kmod-rtl8xxxu". After that try reboot your router and cross finger if it work!
@@VanTechCorner no need exroot?
Just to LuCI software management section and install it. You don't need SSH for this.
@@VanTechCorner not working see openwrt.org/packages/pkgdata/kmod-rtl8xxxu
