19 and I had never kissed anyone, not even held hands. I felt so much pressure. I was nerdy, unattractive (needed jaw surgery) but the issue was that my crush was always looking for the perfect beautiful girl, nowhere to be found. I was in despair because I thought we had so much in common, he was really nice, a bit immature but seemed to me that he was my soulmate. I finally had jaw surgery but was really sad that from the people I knew, no one ever asked me out before the surgery (most guys were really shallow). I had no facebook profile image, I never told anyone about it, lost contact with all my highschool classmates and lived far away from all of them I didn't want anyone from the past to ask me out just because of my physical change. One day, I started chatting with a friend from 8th grade. He called me everyday for a year, without seeing each other he revealed to me that back in school he used to be silly and annoying but he had always had a crush on me, and after talking everyday for a few months he had realized that he loved me, hoping that one day I would reciprocrate his feelings . I was scared and worried about it but I decided to give him a chance. We met, he is tall, handsome, caring, a firm soft spoken person, commited, passionate, playful, caring,a real gentleman. He had always found me attractive, he loved me without even seeing me. I fell in love with him, I realized that no one has ever made me so happy. And yeah, my first kiss was with him. We have been together for 7 years.

I think I'll always remember my first kiss. It happened just a few months ago, I was going through a bit of a rough time at home, my parents hardly let me out for some reason. A "friend" who has a crush on me came to visit me in front of my house, so I went to see him. It was supposed to be 5 mins but then he asked me if I wanted to go for a ride with him on his bike. I was afraid to do that since I hadn't asked for permission but then I told myself "screw it, let's go". So I hopped on and he brought me in a field. We could see the sunset from there and for the first time in a while I felt...free. I don't know how it happened but we ended up holding each other. A few words were said and...we kissed. Honestly, it was absolutely magical, the kind of kiss you would only see in movies. I'm smiling just thinking about it--

( I'm being cheesy I know )
Update update update: It's been a little over 2 years since I confessed my feelings to her and 9 months since we broke up. I know that's not what a lot of you wanted to hear, but it was a mutual decision and we're still very much great friends (we still basically talk on the daily). I don't regret being with her, even though we ultimately worked out better as just friends, and I still admire her and care a lot for her! It may not have worked out as a romantic relationship, but I still gained a great person and friend, and that I am very much grateful for :))

If you are a younger teenager or whatever, don’t feel pressured to do that stuff because kissing is at its core a much much more mature thing (for reasons I won’t get into!)

Oh, sweet memories. I was 15, it was a friend's birthday party. Suddenly electricity went off while I was playfully flirting with a classmate, silly touching when the lights came back on. I was touching a stranger while my classmate couldn't stop laughing in another corner. Said stranger didn't leave me alone for the rest of the night till I decided to kiss him to just get rid of him. It just didn't feel like how I /thought/ it was going to feel. Because most of the other people I've kissed, they never asked, just went for it. He really made me feel like kissing was special. We're going seven months strong and I'm really enjoying how different it felt to my first relationship. Your first kiss doesn't have to be magical, because when you have a REAL first kiss, it does feel pretty magical.
Well, I think it’s the same when you don’t ask it, because you might be asking with your “eyes”…if that makes sense. It’s all about the “moment” of what really signifies a great kiss vs one that feels forced.

This topic makes me sad because my first kiss was so awful... I was 14 and had my first boyfriend, who was a couple years older. I was extremely self-conscious and he was this gorgeous waterpolo player. He started off our relationship by cheating on me and though he never did it again, it wasn't a great start. The kiss was meant to be an apology for that - he basically cornered me during lunch and shoved his tongue down my throat; then proceeded to brag about being my first kiss to all of our mutual friends - one of whom he had previously dated. I felt so humiliated.
A first kiss can be magical, but it can also be awful. And that's okay - I had plenty of amazing first kisses later with much better people.

I had been dating my girlfriend for 10 days, which is a long time at camp to have never kissed, and we didn’t know if we were going to since we had both never kissed anyone before. The tenth day we were together there was a dance and we went together. It was fun at first but after a while we decided to go outside because the stars were clear that night. We sat out side for about 10 minutes and then, I told her that I wanted to ask her something and she said she wanted to ask me the same thing but neither of us felt confident enough to ask. (We hadn’t said kiss yet)
She ended up asking me and I said yes and then asked how do we do this? We then spent the next 5-10 minutes laughing as we tried to figure out how to kiss, not even make out, but kiss someone. We finally kissed, it was a peck, but it was the best first kiss ever. We then proceeded to kiss a lot the rest of the time at camp.

My first kiss was with my brother's best friend. He came over to hang with him and started groping me non-consensually as they were setting up the computer for a game they were gonna play together. When my brother left to get drinks he kissed me very aggressively with a lot of tongue, and I almost vomited. It was so gross and traumatic it put me off kissing anybody for the next 6 years, until I met my awesome girlfriend!
