G'day mate coming to live there in October so this was very helpful I'm going to bayawan city if I see u around Valencia I'll give u a hola! Keep up the good work
I agree, Brent. For the ones that intend to stay for extended periods of time and lockdown a long-term rental, then bringing more bags can be advantageous. When traveling to different islands and other SE Asian countries just leave the bags and your possessions at your homebase and pack a to- go bag. I also agree with you on the traveling. It is a brutal flight. I think either way it’s going to be 25+ hour trip minimum depending on layover time.
The younger folks are pushing the one BACKBACK for all your needs. Look at all the vloggers that are pushing that concept when traveling to Europe. I for one used that idea to just use one backpack when staying in Boracay for seven days. Your right, the backpack way from home base is critical.😊
When I went for a two months stay. I picked 21 days worth of clothes in two large suitcases. Consisting long business casual pants and shirts, and of course short pants and lots and lots of polo shirts. Some people will dress up a little when spending time in expense luxury resorts and hotels that do have dress codes. Great videos, keep it up.
Damn this is very helpful, a few things i didnt think of and funny and entertaining as usual. Is it alright to bring some dry foods and green tea in your luggage?
My suitcase went right on Thai Air in Tokyo from Air Canada. I only had the clothes I was wearing . For 3 days. Man did I smell bad when landed in in Bangkok. 😂 I even had 2 showers in Tokyo.
Hi Brent! Really like your videos! They're real! Think you should change the name from, Brent's Trippin to, Brent's Dipping!...lol I chew as well! Do they sell any chew over there, and how much per can?
When i was staying 2 days with my fiance at a hotel in Manila, the only electrical outlet was completely across the room from the bed. I had to buy an extension cord for my CPAP!
Hey Brent, what's the exact type converter needed in the Phils? And are there other electrical devices that are helpful here? Thanks for the info/video
The standard wall plug here is 2-prong 220V. Stuff like cell phones and laptops should be fine, but you may need a 3-plug to 2-plug adapter easily obtained at a hardware store. Unlike the US, voltatage/current strength can vary a lot here. Anything really valuable I always use a surge protector and voltage regulator/converter with. (I do not wish to see smoke coming out of my laptop!)
There is a store called Stars and Stripes, they have the Gillette 5 blade razors. They are located in Valencia, Bukidnon, I do not know if there is a store in your area.
Hi, I will be in the Philippines for 29 days. Will it be better for me to buy clothes there? I'm planning to have my carry- on as a checked bag, can I have my deodorant, and perfume in there? What do I really need to survive my 29 days over there. Besides I will be landing in Cebu, what are your suggestions for accommodation? Thanks in advance for your infos.
@brentstrippin8867 thanks for your quick response, but you forgot about the accommodation part. I don't really know if I have to go with airbnb, or hotels. Is it better to reserve my accommodation while in the US, or when I get there? This is my first time with a limited budget.
Cebu will be my first spot, because this is where I will be landing. But I'm thinking of visiting manila of a week or so, and, if it's possible, pay a visit to Dumaguete.
I brought about $50. You get screwed at the money exchange so dont bring cash. Let your bank know youll be using your atm card in the Philippines and get your cash out when you get here.
Magandag Umaga Po! Definitely our size tennis shoes are hard to find. Great, you brought some spices. I found an awesome small wallet at SM store at Aurora mall BGC. Maraming Salamat for sharing. Mabuhay
