    Thanks for the refresh... What is the difference between "Google Ads" and "PPC Search / Visitors from Google, Bing, and Yahoo PPC search" in the visitor tracking configuration?

    • @MetaLOGICDesign
      @MetaLOGICDesign  Год назад +1

      Hi Scott. That’s a good question. The only difference is “PPC Search / Visitors from Google, Bing, and Yahoo PPC search” allows you to track all PPC calls coming from sources outside of Google Ads. If you are only running Google Ads, then you would just choose “Google Ads.” If you are running ads on more than Google Ads, then you would choose the other option. I hope this helps.

    Hey, thanks so much for this video!! I learned a ton from it.
    Quick follow up question about the call extension part...I've been having a tough time getting my call extension to be approved. Would you be able to link the other video you mentioned about troubleshooting that?

    • @MetaLOGICDesign
      @MetaLOGICDesign  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there Katie!
      So sorry for the late response. If your calls are still getting denied, here are a couple of troubleshooting options: 1) Reestablish the CallRail integration with Google Ads 2) Link your Google Search Console account to Google Ads (Tools & settings > Setup > Linked accounts) 3. Go into your call extension > Change one digit of the phone number > Save > Go back in and paste the correct number (Google is silly and this has worked for me more times than I can count). If all else fails I would give them a call to see what the issue could be.
      Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for the video man. Got some confusion though.
    1. When creating the company number, do i have to put the number thats visible in the website header like the one you chose? I'm talk about the Primary Phone number 2:30 - 2:33
    2. Does the routing number have to be the same as company phone no.? 3:25

    • @MetaLOGICDesign
      @MetaLOGICDesign  4 месяца назад +1

      Hey there!
      1. When you create the tracking number, you will need to grab whatever number is visible on the website and paste it at this step as that will be the swapping target.
      2. The routing number does not need to be the same as the swap target chosen and can be forwarded to any number of your choosing at any time. Ex: If a client goes on vacation and does not want calls going to their phone, we can change the forwarding number to a number of their choosing.
      Hope this helped!

    Hey! Great video, really helpful. Question: When I did both GTM and Wordpress plugin installations, CallRail says it sees duplicate code snippets, so I removed the WP plugin. Is that okay or should you still use both? As in the video you do both GTM and WP plugin.

    • @MetaLOGICDesign
      @MetaLOGICDesign  8 месяцев назад

      Hi there!
      If you are using the WordPress plugin to integrate with CallRail, you do not need to use Tag Manager. Sorry for the confusion!

    • @MetaLOGICDesign
      @MetaLOGICDesign  8 месяцев назад

      Hi there!
      If your landing pages are for the same company and the swap targets are the same then you can get away with keeping the number pool to just 4 numbers.
      Thanks for watching!

    thanks for your content. What is the structure of a contextual advertising campaign?

    • @MetaLOGICDesign
      @MetaLOGICDesign  Год назад +1

      H Kiel. If you are running contextual advertising you will want to use Google’s URL Builder tool to create UTM parameters tracking the campaigns you are running. Once you’ve created your URL, you will select the tracking source “Landing Params” and add the URL parameters…. It should start with ?…..
      Make sure you add the parameters to your url in the ads as well. This will allow you to track calls from contextual advertising campaigns. Here is a link to Google URL Builder if you don’t have it ga-dev-tools.web.app/campaign-url-builder/
      I hope this helps!

    Thanks for the amazing video man! Is it important to use 4 website pool number for call tracking? Or can I use just 1?

    • @MetaLOGICDesign
      @MetaLOGICDesign  2 года назад +1

      Thanks Ashish. I apologize for not being more clear in my video. If you want keyword tracking tied to phone calls, you will need a pool of 4 numbers to dynamically swap. If you don't need to track keywords, then you can use 1 phone number. If you use one keyword, it can still dynamically swap but you won't get the keyword reporting in CallRail. I hope this helps and please let me know if you have any other questions. All the best!

    What are your tips to get a callrail number approved in google ads? Ours was working great until they declined it.

    • @MetaLOGICDesign
      @MetaLOGICDesign  4 месяца назад

      Hi Christy,
      When Google flags our call extensions as ineligible, we usually get around this by linking both Google Search Console and Google Analytics to the Google Ads account, editing the call extension, and resubmitting the extension for approval. If you already have Search Console and Analytics tied to the Google Ads account, unlink them and follow these steps again.
      Hope this helped!

    This was so informative, you talked through everything I needed. But I've still got this one lingering question. How do you insert the code into the client's website to track the calls? Im so lost with the code thing. Do you have to get the client's website manager to put the code into it or is there a way that the client and you can connect Google tag managers so that their website script is accessible to you?

      Basically, how would you set up call rail if it isn't your website? Would you have to request permissions or something?

    • @MetaLOGICDesign
      @MetaLOGICDesign  Год назад

      Yes, you would have to have access to their website or Google Tag Manager account. Here is link to a video I made on how to do it through Google Tag Manager ruclips.net/video/0C5jsBgOzVU/видео.html

    how would you apply a pool to your account if they're all different numbers?

    • @MetaLOGICDesign
      @MetaLOGICDesign  Год назад

      Hi @TheCommunityChestsJunkRemoval. When CallRail gives you a pool of numbers they are all the same area code. When you add the Javascript to your website/landing page, CallRail will dynamically swap 1 of the 4 numbers on your website/landing page. Each of those numbers will be forwarded to the one number you assigned the calls to be forwarded to in CallRail. If you want CallRail to swap the phone number on your site/landing page with numbers from different area codes, you will need to enable local swap in CallRail and add the different area codes to the pool. You only need 2 numbers to add a different area code in local swap. Please let me know if I misunderstood your question. If you need additional help, give me a call or email; I'm happy to help.

      Also, I tried pasting the CallRail Tracking Template snippet into the campaigns and it gave me an error saying URL must start with HTTP:// or HTTPS://

      If you're having trouble with this part the correct should have {lpurl} at the beginning. Here's the correct code:
      {lpurl}?campaignid={campaignid}&adgroupid={adgroupid}&creative={creative}&matchtype={matchtype}&network={network}&device={device}&keyword={keyword}

    Hello, I have set up call rail through using tag manager, I did not install the java script snippet directly onto wordpress because I am assuming that the tag manager is doing the same thing, I moved on to the portion of the video about adding the tracking template to my google ads campaign and when I click apply I receive this error.
    error
    URL must start with or (or {lpurl} tag)
    any idea what this means? or is it because I did not install call rail java script snippet directly to wordpress but instead only used tag manager?

    • @MetaLOGICDesign

      Did you add the tracking template at the campaign level? Campaign > Settings > Campaign URL options? This is the tracking template that you should be using:
      {lpurl}?campaignid={campaignid}&adgroupid={adgroupid}&creative={creative}&matchtype={matchtype}&network={network}&device={device}&keyword={keyword}

    • @MetaLOGICDesign

      When you use a pool of numbers that dynamically swap, CallRail can track keyword data from Google Ads.

    • @kawasakimoto6264
      @kawasakimoto6264 Год назад

      @@MetaLOGICDesign so the purpose of call swap is 2 track keywords 🗝️ N 2 do that you need independent Numbers

    • @MetaLOGICDesign
      @MetaLOGICDesign  Год назад

      @@kawasakimoto6264 that's correct. In order to collect keyword data you will need to use a pool of numbers. CallRail requires a minimum of 4 numbers in the pool of numbers.
