Curious? Have you spoken to ANYONE who actually was on staff at Harvest Bible Chapel to really get both sides of the story? Or have you only spoken to James and read Julie's articles?
If you haven't, you are missing the whole story. Both of them have an axe to grind and only tell the story from their perspective.
And for what it's worth, Julie's story is drastically closer to the truth than what James says.

I’m happy to speak to anyone. I think the church may be reluctant to speak on the matter and, oddly enough, when I asked Julie to dialogue about her findings she was completely closed off to any kind of interaction. James was more than willing to tell his side. Make of that what you will.

Julie largely reported on what MacDonald put on his own Twitter Feed. His own words, the evil that came from his own heart out of his own mouth, was what she gave light and a larger platform to. Truth.

I used to watch pastor james all the time as a teenager and really, all through my younger adult life.. i watch his videos constantly even today.. ive always appreciated that his sermons taught out of God's Word, not just what he thought or felt about the topic.. he was always reading scripture and citing scripture throughout the messages.. something alot of churches arent doing today.. im not here to defend his character.. John 2:24 "But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men".. men are flawed.. all of us are! Im only here because God's mercy is new everyday.. because Christ's blood atoned for my sin.. i try to show grace and mercy to others because God has shown it to me..

Um… so PTSD made him black out and fall on her … after his truck hit her car… with a gun in his vehicle that had previously been reported as stolen… and the “fall” was so severe she had to be hospitalized… and the police wrongly determined it to be felony assault? Dude…

Just sharing my anonymous source, dude. That’s what honest brokers do. They try to give information that’s available to them rather than just tell one side. More importantly I find it hard to believe too, but that’s not the point. The point is you don’t know what happened, only the people present do. That means a little humility is in order as we sort through what we know and think we know. Thankfully we have a Justice system that helps people go beyond conjecture and accusation. When facts are presented then judgement becomes permissible.

I mean, there was a number of videos of former members of his church attesting to his anger issues and unchristian behavior. He is a phenomenal Bible teacher, but it sure seems like he struggles at being a good human being. You might say "don't we all" but "let not many of you become teachers" according to scripture. As a pastor, i understand that my actions will be under a higher scrutiny than others and i know that the same judgment i have for James will be measured back to me. But i am not a victim in this life, and i don't believe James is either.

I was a follower of James MacDonald. I can honestly say that his teachings helped grow my faith and understanding of God’s Word immensely. When he was fired(?) by the elders, plus everything else that came out, I was confused. I felt let down. However, through all of this I learned a very valuable lesson: He is a man - very capable of buckling under pressure, of sinning, of being as pathetically human and imperfect as I am. David dared NOT lay a finger on God’s anointed. And David, a man after God’s own heart… how great was his fall! There is a better chance at healing all around if the truth is spoken, whatever that may be. If he messed-up, he should own it. Those who want to protect him shouldn’t make videos about whatever happened . It only fuels the flames. I had NO idea about “this” incident ‘til just now. We follow Christ. God bless.

So, a year plus later and this case has gone no-where mainly because of the “mental health” claims of JM’s side (which can be hard, if not impossible to prove or disprove.
With that being said, biblical teachers are supposed to be “above reproach” and MacDonald has managed to find himself in the middle of a bunch of scandals for someone who is supposed to be “above reproach”. The fact there are Christian AND PEOPLE WHO KNOW HIM who find the claims to be trustworthy should speak volumes about the entire situation and about JM’s character

I’ve met James and interviewed him several times. I went to his Bible study by Judson College about 1.5 years ago. His deportment was one who had been through hell. I don’t think (nor would he say this) that he would deny he is a sinner and flawed. I can not imagine the pressure of running a huge ministry. I want to hear all the facts and the video evidence. It prevents me from my sinful inclination. Julie Roys is heretical and when you show her duplicity as I have (not attacking her, but her substance).
