Post-Christian Britain's COLLAPSE Is A Warning To America
We are not called to be religious. We are called to be disciples. Be careful what you propose.
I see your research involves Fox news, media, and biased media points. Glad to see you’re doing proper research here.
NBC news is a part of Fox now, that is news to me.
@@IndieThinker I’ll keep it simple. You are a narrow thinker. You guide hate to others, especially other christians. You state your own personal views and opinions are fact. You are a wolf in sheep’s clothing spreading hate to others.
Glad to see all your research has led you to believe, conspiracies and act as though they are fact
20:30 oh nooooooooooo, you're justifying murdering infants and children because you saw some propaganda videos? Are you sure you're pro-life?
5:15 oh no, don't die on this hill. Unless you're proposing some exotic physics (plz don't), planets form out of the accretion disk around a star. The beginning of Genesis isn't even meant to be literal, SMH.
@@PlaylistWatching1234 but you nor anyone else really knows do they? This is the point. Only skeptics make faith assertions and then go on to pretend they’re confirmed science.
@IndieThinker brother, I love you. I think you may need to let others witness.
Your last sentence is literally exactly what you always do with political conversations. What a double standard!
@@cookedo5743 At least it seems we’re in agreement that you shouldn’t do it but please provide an example of me doing this with an explanation of how I misused Scripture. This should be fun.
I concur, I would love to see you elaborate.
@@IndieThinker You do it in this very video, Reed. How are you leading with the first and second greatest commandments of Jesus with this video?
@@IndieThinker You do this with abortion all the time too. You attempt to make the very complex issue too simple in order to further your political stance. You claim to use scripture to support your view.
@@cookedo5743 since you refuse to quote anything I’ve said and remain purposefully general I encourage you not to confuse positions don’t like with the misuse of Scripture. This is why I could confidently ask you to provide an example and trust you couldn’t find a single one. Little of what I do is predicated on the use of Scripture alone and usually everything is throughly researched. I have consistently dug into the fact that almost every biologist according to the NIH holds my view of life at conception, there is no medical reason to abort a baby to save the life of the mother, R is not the babies fault, and all the exceptions make up for about 3% of all abortions and all the rest are done out of convenience. Not a single one of those facts are simple you just don’t like them.
Very biased garbage…no facts. And you obviously like Walsh.
Pull down all the references to the word "fool" in Proverbs. Pretty sure you can sub in "holy post" and get the same results.
My nothing is more real though. (Not knowing what nothing is, because nothing can’t be known)
@@InnovativeSaint if “nothing”cannot be known then it cannot be objectively proven to be real because you would have nothing to base your evidence on. Or you could just laugh because it’s a joke.
No evidence for your theories. Per usual on this channel, hypothetical and narrow viewpoint without empathy for others.
You're not making an argument per usual you're doing what most do, appealing to emotion in the hopes it will cover up for the fact that there's no justification for taking the life of an innocent human being.
@ Reed. I didn’t claim to make an argument, though criticism is very difficult for you. I was stating an observation. Your channels viewpoints come off as narrow and narcissistic with a swing to christian nationalism over discipleship. In other words, you weaponize biblical text for political agendas.
Would you apply the same moral judgment to the animal sacrifices of the Aztecs and the ancient Israelites, or is there a valid distinction between the two?
Who's to say if it's gonna help the individual? Well, the individual is to say.
@@leonardopatrizio the individual? There is the mother and her child not just the mother. Every successful abortion ends with a dead child, it’s a plain fact. Intentionally killing an innocent child doesn’t help women.
Nothing created God.
I believe you watched that video a little more biased than you should I ended up agreeing almost 100% with Alex, since i'm an antheists, but no one was demolished there. Alex asked questions, Cliffe and Stuart answered what they could and were honest to say they don't know all the answers and besides all of that they believe the bible's "problems" are so much smaller than what Christ and provide to them. And that was it. It's a beautiful worldview the christians had and a worldview many atheists like me are valid for not accepting, since those problems are more difficult for us to accept, maybe because we don't have a relationship with God, maybe because God hasn't touched us yet, or maybe because God doesn't exist. We don't know. That's the phrase that summarizes that video. We don't know. None of us know. All we can do is try to understand and discuss what we think. Also, about the data on how important religion is for mental health, that's true, but it's also true that any religion could do that, from christianity, to judaism, to islamism, to budhism, to african religions, all of them can help with that.
@@gustavomartins7547 maybe you favored Alex because of your bias. Sure, great convo but watch Alex, he’s been going to bat with people making him reconsider his views, like we all should be willing to do.
@@IndieThinker "Maybe you favored Alex because of your bias" That's literally what i said. I favored Alex because i'm an atheist, but I don't think what Cliffe and Stuart said were necessarily wrong, just a little bit off with what I expected as an answer. And yeah, I love Alex way of living, he talks sincerely with christians and reconsider his views all the time, what we all should do. Still, that was not a "demolish" just two three people who have no idea what they are doing in this world trying to understand each other. And that's what religious debates/conversations should be. None of uf have a clue of what God is or what he wants or how the divine behaves, we are just trying to understand ourselves and understand what this world means.
@ what I’m implying is I think it’s just you missing something. Christians do have something to offer more than conjecture, maybes, and good responses. Our message is not a religion but a real God that will reveal Himself to real seekers.
@@IndieThinker I mean. Your message is not "the real God", since the real God is infinite and perfect and our language and intelect is finite and imperfect. So all you have to say is a representation of God, not the real God. As a christian you probably feel the real God and you feel his love and connection and empathy. But you cannot tell others about him, only your interpretation of him
@@gustavomartins7547 typing a lot may allow you to avoid what I just set before you before but it isn't honest. I made a large moral and empirical claim about the God I believe in that you can test yourself. I placed the ball in your court to see if you're actually interested in pursuing the truth of that claim. Are you?
Most christian would say that just by believing in Christ is enough throwing away all aspects of jurisprudence. Some follow what they want, some reinterpret as they want.. the head of the church needs to be stern in giving an official guidance.
You bring up a very interesting thought.
Because most people dont view fetuses as full human beings. Personally, before a fetus can servive outside the womb (roughly the 24-week mark) I am in full support of abortion. Afterward, there's an argument to be made about personhood, considering the fetus is potentially viable. Also, bold of you to assume how a woman would feel in that situation considering you will NEVER have to experience it.
That's fine everyone can think what they want to, just know the whole calling a baby a fetus thing is a dishonest attempt at dehumanizing human life in order to eliminate it.
If you're saying secularism is a bad thing do you mean the separation of church and state because if so would you rather live in America or Iran
This channel is made with people like you in mind. Separation of church and state is a not a founding principle of America. It is an ahistorical idea from secularists based on a misquote of Jefferson and a fundamental misunderstanding of the First Amendment. I find more and more that people actually do not know what the first amendment says. They only know what they’ve been told it says. I’d encourage you to read it. I also touch on this in the video. Maybe you missed it.
@@IndieThinkerActually the first Amendment was about the federal government. You have to look at the state constitution for what was permitted. That of course changes after the 14th amendment. Which then makes me wonder what you think would entail establishment. For example, requiring the display of the 10 commandment creates a broad recognition for the Christian religion. Then you have the side of allowing the display of the commandments at school. Can the school choose to or to prevent other religious text? I didn't get a sense that your channel covers these topics. So I do not feel like it is for someone like S.D.323
@IndieThinker well if America isnt a secular country what is it it definitely isn't a theocracy
@@IndieThinker You didn't answer the question.
@@S.D.323 America is a federalist Republic. It is regulated by the people within the confines of certain principles later out in the constitution. The regulations that people impose can be secular of religious. They simply can not establish a state religion nor force others to believe in a religion or stop someone from worshiping as they please. Laws are made laws because people want them. For example wether or not abortion is banned will be because the amount of people who vote against it. Whether or not they vote against it for religious or secular reasons or no reason at all doesn't really matter to the law.
I justify the contents of the Bible by reading the Bible. Textbook circular reasoning. Tell me again how you establish that essentially a magic wizard created the universe without him first needing to exist in any independent external reality, go ahead.
@@jakeherter Aristotles unmoved mover. You can pick up books at any library near you. They’re very helpful remedies for atheism.
@IndieThinker The cosmological argument, really? At best, it gets you to a diest god, not the christian one. It assumes that the cause of the universe is a being when it could be literally anything, we dont know.
I don't see how you attacked secularism in this video. At no point did you call for Christianity to be the national religion. You never declare church service to be attended. At no point did you request the outlaw of other religious symbols. Most importantly you never advocated the legalization of all killing because God said murder was sin and you want to eradicate sin from our world.
@@jessephillips8319 ?!?
@@Theo_Skeptomai Are you questioning your excitement for your question. Don't know if you need to be excited, but feel free to ask.
I don’t mean to be rude, but you, and Stuart Knechtle, seem to grossly mischaracterize secularism as a philosophy. A “secularist” as you put it, doesn’t advocate for the abolition of religion from everyday life. Secularism as it relates to states and institutions simply omits explicit affiliation with religion. The United States, for example, is a secular country because it separates church and government / rule of law. Public schools, similarly, are secular because they don’t advocate any particular religion and don’t preach any particular religious text in their curriculum. A "secularist" is simple an individual who supports these principles. Those who believe religion has no place in society and, even more radically, believe religion should be actively censored, denigrated, or made criminal, are certainly not secular. The USSR, for example, was not a secular state. It actively persecuted people who practiced religion, thereby making religion part of its political and legal affairs. Secularism actually has very little to do with what you personally believe about the truthfulness of God's existence. You can be a very devout Christian and still be pro-secularization. Those aren’t contradictory beliefs. Likewise, you can be an atheist and be anti-secularization, in which case you presumably believe certain religions should be suppressed and perhaps even criminalized while others are incorporated into our institutions in some explicit and meaningful way. One can imagine a "non-secular christian atheist" who believes Christianity is fundamentally good and should be integrated into government but isn't actually convinced of Christianity's truth claims. Such individuals are rare but certainly do exist and do so without internal contradiction. That person is both an atheist and non-secular. Ultimately, I think the way you and Stuart conceptualize of secularism is simply not very useful. That being said, it was a good video, you made some thought-provoking points and I’m curious how you would respond to this…

Yeh, and these CLOWNS don't even know why they hate him.... MEDICATION IS DEFINITELY NEEDED FOR THEM....
This is wild. I don't know about Chang, but Moore and French are both super conservative. They just don't like Trump. If this is something that the church can't handle - a little Trump critique - it might be time to rethink priorities. I can tell you this. When I became a Christian in 1997, it certainly wasn't so I could carry water for Donald Trump.
"They just don't like Trump" so they took money from a radical left-wing organization and endorsed a pro-abortion/pro-trans candidate that refused any religion exemption for abortion all for all nine months. That's called selling out not a "little Trump critique".
@@IndieThinker Oh brother. They've both made pretty robust arguments on these positions over the course of the last eight years. Selling out is when you deny what you actually believe so you can cash in. I'm willing to bet that both Moore and French would have had smoother sailing if they'd gone along with the broader evangelical support for Trump. You might disagree with them, and that's fine, but some of this stuff is so overheated.
@@nathanmarone Pretty clear you didn't watch the video or read my reply, because they clearly took MONEY from a pro-abortion/pro-lgbtq org, along with Chang, to make The After Party. They funneled the money through Redeeming Babel so it couldn't be traced to them directly. The After Party, among other things, was an attempt to push the church away from Trump. That is definitionally being for sale. You probably didn't creep into the comment section to actually learn something, but ask yourself, when did French or Moore ever criticize the sawing off the body parts of kids, men in women's private spaces, or abortion? If they have remained eerily silent on these cardinal sins while reserving their sharpest criticism for Trump then it becomes obvious what these men really stand for.
@@IndieThinker I've watched the video. It's mostly polemics and not a lot of actual information on how they sold out. Largely a bit of entertainment for people who already agree with you. But I'll grant that somehow their deals are shady or whatever. They are still broadly conservative. They just aren't prioritizing abortion as the level most evangelicals do. It is an important issue, no doubt, but it's not the only issue, and we can't expect everyone to have the exact same priorities at the voting booth.
Your information on Chang, Moore and French seems ten years old if you consider Moore and French 'super conservative'. Yes, they still know how to give correct "systematic theological answers' in certain audiences, but so does Satan. This commentary is spot on. Highly recommend Megan Basham's book.

We watched it with two very different sets of eyes.
