What NT Wright is saying is incredibly unbiblical. "People who are worried about sex for various reason..." like Jesus? Or Paul?
The Bible is not worried about sex, it discusses it quite openly, but it is concerned with sexual sin. It is very, very serious.
And in this case, NT Wright manages to minimise both sexual sin AND the murder of the unborn as a consequence. What good is it to be a biblical scholar if the biblical message has no effect on your own personal values?

Hints at ideological bias and can’t help but assume that comes from academy.

@@IndieThinker That could absolutely be the case. Many theological degrees almost seem designed to compromise your faith.
Thank you for dealing with this, I was not aware NT Wright said this. I have never agreed much with him, but I haven´t seen anything like this, where he promotes sin and condemns the innocent. So from "I don´t agree with this guy" to "what this guy says is poison".

SO DISAPPOINTING from NT Wright. Unreal. There IT is - the transcendent, self-righteous signaling word: NUANCE

My past respect for N.T. is what motivated this episode. He and others have been very disappointing Christian thinkers when it comes to cultural issues. And yes, “nuance” is probably my least favorite word in the English lexicon because of the way people use it.
