Two years ago, I watched her videos religiously not because I liked them but cause I felt like I had to, even though I was offended by them. I was so deep in the cult of Woke I felt guilty for being a straight girl. But now I see that people like her are in the wrong and that straight people can be discriminated against too. I've went through hell for being gay. I've been physically assaulted, harassed, and bullied by straight people at school. From just wearing a shirt that says that gay people are people, I was shouted at in the halls. I feared going to school for such a long time because of how unsafe I felt. My mom didn't even understand it at all, saying that I had to just stop being gay if I didn't want to be bullied. I used to think that way until I made a straight friend. She's straight, cis, and incredible. I'm trans, gay, and I also use neopronouns, so it shocked me when she used them correctly and respectfully. She just recently gave me a $10 gift randomly of my favorite show. She's incredible and showed me that straight people can be okay and are just like queer people. I am still hesitant to getting close to a straight person because of what happened in the past and others feel that way too. My tip is to observe them and slip lgbt into your sentence, see how they feel about it. The, are the straights okay subreddit was made to show off just the bad straight people, but she seems to make it her whole personality and hates on the good ones too. It's dumb. Hating on groups of people is what we (the lgbtq community) were opposed to. You can't be heterophobic, but she makes people guilty about being straight (not heterophobia, just a dick move) and then blames it on her trauma. :P

Women used to be heavily thought of as objects/accessories for men, and marriage was passing the ownership of a woman from the father to the husband. This was how the tradition was for many years and the only way a woman could live a proper life, was through marriage because they couldn’t work, or own land or housing. Marriage slowly changed over the years, but this mentality of men being in charge of the woman they’re married to is still in existence, (trigger warning) in fact sexual assault against a spouse wasn’t made illegal across the United States until the 1990’s (women were often told it was their role to serve their husbands when they came forward), not to mention that women and girls (because child marriage is still a thing that happens) are still in many places treated like the object of a man in marriage. So, while most people don’t see it as that and have continued the tradition without a problem, there are people who don’t like the idea of carrying on a tradition with such origins, which is completely up to them as an individual. I hope this helps you and anyone else who sees it, and that you remember that people online have feelings just like you do and while opinions may differ, they mostly tend to come from the same place: how we feel and what makes sense based on what we know.

I'm lesbian, I will never be straight because that wasn't the way God made me either. It started off as a joke and reading posts off the subreddit r/arethestraightsokay which was pointing out the really weird people on 'straight tik tok'. I no longer agree with them or their opinions and views now that it's become this way of discriminating against others.

I used to watch her videos... It was a very embarrassing phase. Your sexuality does not define you. Kiwi just loves to say that she "validates" everyone and is a safe space. If you continue to marginalize groups and say you don't do that, you're going to make people stop watching and be known as a un-safe space.

I never watched her but being born in the generation I'm in now, I went through this phase. I felt like I had to not be straight to be accepted. Well guess what, I dated a girl, she cheated on me, then I realized, "I'm straight." I forced myself into a relationship bc I felt like I had to, but it did open up my eyes. Guys pls be self aware and do not let others persuade you like this Kiwi youtuber did to so many.
Two years ago, I watched her videos religiously not because I liked them but cause I felt like I had to, even though I was offended by them. I was so deep in the cult of Woke I felt guilty for being a straight girl. But now I see that people like her are in the wrong and that straight people can be discriminated against too. Never going back to the woke side these people crazy.

I've went through hell for being gay. I've been physically assaulted, harassed, and bullied by straight people at school. From just wearing a shirt that says that gay people are people, I was shouted at in the halls. I feared going to school for such a long time because of how unsafe I felt. My mom didn't even understand it at all, saying that I had to just stop being gay if I didn't want to be bullied. I used to think that way until I made a straight friend. She's straight, cis, and incredible. I'm trans, gay, and I also use neopronouns, so it shocked me when she used them correctly and respectfully. She just recently gave me a $10 gift randomly of my favorite show. She's incredible and showed me that straight people can be okay and are just like queer people. I am still hesitant to getting close to a straight person because of what happened in the past and others feel that way too. My tip is to observe them and slip lgbt into your sentence, see how they feel about it.
The, are the straights okay subreddit was made to show off just the bad straight people, but she seems to make it her whole personality and hates on the good ones too. It's dumb. Hating on groups of people is what we (the lgbtq community) were opposed to. Women used to be heavily thought of as objects/accessories for men, and marriage was passing the ownership of a woman from the father to the husband. This was how the tradition was for many years and the only way a woman could live a proper life, was through marriage because they couldn’t work, or own land or housing. Marriage slowly changed over the years, but this mentality of men being in charge of the woman they’re married to is still in existence, (trigger warning) in fact sexual assault against a spouse wasn’t made illegal across the United States until the 1990’s (women were often told it was their role to serve their husbands when they came forward), not to mention that women and girls (because child marriage is still a thing that happens) are still in many places treated like the object of a man in marriage. So, while most people don’t see it as that and have continued the tradition without a problem, there are people who don’t like the idea of carrying on a tradition with such origins, which is completely up to them as an individual. I hope this helps you and anyone else who sees it, and that you remember that people online have feelings just like you do and while opinions may differ, they mostly tend to come from the same place: how we feel and what makes sense based on what we know.

Alright, I think some stuff should be clarified about her: she makes content on the subreddit "r/arethestraightsok", that's where the video titles come from (if you didn't know, this subreddit has posts made by straight/cis people that act really weird. It's not implying that everyone in that certain community is bad). In her videos, I'm pretty sure she clarifies that not ALL straight people, men, etc. are like that (I know, I'm subscribed to her). I'm not really defending her though since the titles and thumbnails of the videos are really misleading.
