You've lucked out with your Tiffen CPL , I tried using one a few years ago and I would always get a magenta "x" though my frame. The stronger the polarization the brighter the magenta "x" would become, so I bought the more expensive B+W CPL and have never looked back. I'm glad to here you have had good luck with yours.
Cool video. I never knew those lens covers existed. I will have to get a couple. I lose lens caps now and again. I lost one on the first day I used one lens 😀
They should, but my concern would be warping the lens hood plastic over time or cracking a hood. But I do worry about that kind of stuff unlike many people haha. All in all they should fit over a hood. Very stretchy.
I'm obsessed with accessories. Yesterday, I had to order an accessory for another accessory! It gets a bit crazy... My worst was getting an external monitor - that lead to a camera cage because I did not want to put the weight on the cameras hotshoe mount. Then there's the tripods....😉
Hey! That's a great question. I have used a remote shutter app on my phone before, but it drains my phone battery pretty quickly. If I'm doing a timelapse or a star trail shot, I'm shooting for hours at a time which my phone's battery can't handle. THUS, I rely heavily on the cheap remote shutter. Plus, I like to mindlessly use my phone while my camera is shooting for that long LOL!
David Thanks for the helpful info and the answer to the shutter release questions. I love the phone app for taking real estate photos and just being able to keep my hands off the camera. Look forward to getting some of the things described in the video. Did not know that some of that stuff was out there. 🤠
