Just found this tonight. I visited Zakopane 30 years ago, could see cable car in the distance from our hotel room. I loved the place, friendly people. I wonder if its managed to stay the same after all this time.?

A lot has changed in Poland during the last 30 years. It is certainly interesting to see the new overlaying the old. I think here that you would find the town more tourist centred. But that does make the town easier to get to and from.
