Added to the list - it may take a little while to come out as I have a few others on there - some initial things I know though include using different shades (dark browns/greens/blacks) to emphasise where ridges and hills fall on a map. Use light colours one side to mimic it facing 'towards the light' with dark colours on the opposing side where shadows would fall. You can also use heightmaps if you're leaning towards using satellite images :)) Hope that helps.
One question I did everything like you said but when I change brightness the unit just becomes blank it’s not that cool effect you have where it’s gets bla k on different areas mine just happens all at one spot
It would be very nice if you could show how to animate the battle units, even the animation of the two armies would be more understandable. Also, which copyright-free program can we use to make these battle maps? Of course it should be free
I will soon do a full tutorial from start to end on how to make a battle. I did roughly cover it in this video and the 'how to animate invasions' video. In terms of making the maps - I used Inkarnate for the map here (I have the pro version but there is a free version too)
@@ThomasWhiteX First of all, thank you for your response, also the video tutorial from start to finish is good news. However, I read the inkarnate license terms, commercial use is not available in the free version, if you make money from such videos in the future, you need to buy the pro version.
I isn't putting no crossed sword emoticon.
Really useful, thank you! ⚔️
good as always Thomas. Ive watched each of your videos at least twice hahaha.
Wow that's impressive! Thank you for the support
Great tutorial! ⚔
Thanks for making it to the end ;£
Another great video. ⚔️
Can you make a small video on how to add things like hills and differing terrain levels in a battle map?

I wonder when I will actually use what I am learning ⚔️
Soon hopefully! You learn so much more by trying it out - maybe when you see a video you really enjoyed you can try and replicate it :))

To animate the units you just change the center where it says x and y, and I think he uses gimp to make his own maps
@Simple_historyy thank you bro
