I know this video was uploaded way over a year ago, but yeah, an RBI Chance is a baseball thing. Meaning, if there is a runner in scoring position (second base or third base) there is a chance that the runner could score from a base hit. RBI stands for Run Batted In. A score that happened due to a hit, pretty much. Played baseball for 10 years and love video games too!
Just so you know, instead of points they are called runs and RBI stands for runs batted in which means if the person at bat causes somebody to score they are creddited with a run batted in.

You're partially right. RBI means runs batted in, but you don't have to get out to make it count. If you hit a single, but someone runs home, you get one RBI. If you hit a Grand Slam, that's 4.

And BTW if anyone hasn't told you yet the fainting you're seeing from the pitcher means your pitchers are getting tired and need a new pitcher from your team, but yeah the game truly was awesome to play when I got used to the controls, now you wonder if they'll do a Wii U version of this Baseball game or not that'd be kinda interesting. so a few things to let you guys know (as I have played the game and completed it) the Dewdrop that appears every so often on the Pitcher means that the Pitcher is Tired and wants to be Switched out (you can do this by pushing Plus and going to the switch team option or whatever and switch out Pitchers) although I like your explanation of them being Depressed. also every captain has a Star Move so even though you had Peach and DK as your captains since Luigi and Diddy and them are captains...
I'm pretty sure DK was just relieved that he didn't give up a run or hit in some of those situations. A lot of baseball games put emphasis on pitchers being in a tight spot.
stephen, if your surprised DIDDY KONG'S in this game, your gonna be a lot more surprised for what other donkey kong characters are in this game. Heck you should do a BLIND lp of this game

I loved this when I was younger. Still do, really. Just been too busy playing other games to play it. And as a baseball player, it's painful to watch you fail at baseball stuff. Hey Stephen, you guys should play the Mass Effect games. They're my favorite current gen games and I think it would be entertaining to watch you play through them. The first one is a LITTLE slower than the other two, but its still really good. At least gimme a first 20 :D
They aren't sad. They are tired so you have to switch your pitcher. Also when you choose your character and you place your pointer on a character they might have music notes in the bottom right corner. That means they have bonds so if you place them in the back and your opponents does a homerun and if you follow the button directions on the screen you can catch the homerun
He will. For one, it's shorter than Persona 4's first hour. On top of that, he can easily cut the story-related 20 mins in the begining and then skip ahead to you know what where the game throws you in the main gameplay. Either or he'll make it like that 1 hour Demo Friday.
Hey Stephen you should try to get all the characters in the game.There are A LOT of characters though, and most of them are gotten through story mode.You should also lp the story mode too. :D

stephen and mal you are correct an rbi is a baseball term its a stat you remember the batting average of that danny card that i assume alex has those the rbi is your batting average it sums up the total. just thought id let you know stay awesome
And 2 more things. Next First 20, I suggest NSMB and SMG mainly since they are co-op and on the Wii. Sorry for picking Mario games though since there's not much variety in that. Heres an idea: Stephen i wholly recommend a game for first 20. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is, although one player, is a great game. The first twenty will enthrall you to the point you would want to play more

I had this game for the Wii. For some bizarre reason, it didn't work properly. And I don't mean that it was glitched. It wouldn't even start up properly.

...as well you can also do Special moves with them as long as they are on your team. and you guys should do the Challenge Mode (which is basically Story Mode on this game) in which you can unlock all the characters that you are missing. just thought I should let you guys know. have fun.

u can skip the replays and to get a home-run u need to charge up your bat at the right time (that thing that turns red and shrinks when u charge up) and hit it when the thing is red and small.I have not played this game for a long time, but I still most of the stuff in the game.GRAFFITI!!!!!!!

The thing I like about this video is that Stephen didn't know that he could control all characters. Or any controls for that reason.

DK's depression is actually exhaustion from pitching for so long. I played the Gamecube Mario Baseball, so I remember some things about it.
