It definitely doesn't lack groundwork...I'd say quire often in competition people lack the opportunity to really express the amount of groundwork available!
@@TheJudoWayofLifeI think it’s kind of a shame that the sport of judo doesn’t do the full ground. I’ve heard a lot of people say that making these martial arts into sports is hurting the art. I’ve heard this also about Gracie Jiu Jitsu. BJJ being the sport version that totally ignores the stand up, the judo in the Gracie Jiu Jitsu and the actual self defense while standing.
